We have picked strawberries and blackberries. We found a huuuuge wild blackberry bush along a main road that we picked a ton of blackberries off of this weekend. My husband stayed in the car while we hopped out and picked as many as we could.

Yep, we went strawberry picking last week at a farm 5 minutes from my parent's place - My 2.5 yo loved it! Last summer we picked strawberries (she wasn't as in to it), and DH and I picked raspberries (no kids allowed for that one). It's fun, and the berries taste so much better than the ones in store.

We went strawberry. snap pea and cherry picking at a farm a couple of weeks ago. DD loved it. She loves apple picking too. We're waiting for peaches to be ready.

I took D to an orchard just yesterday for cherry picking. It was our first time going berry picking. He liked it, except the ground was wet from rain overnight and he didn't appreciate walking through wet grass, ha!

Oh yeah - we went strawberry twice this past weekend alone! Raspberries should be ripe this coming weekend, so we'll probably go then too

I've never been to a place specifically to pick berries, but there are a ton of wild blackberry plants along the greenbelt trails in my neighborhood. I'll pick some from there when I go on walks.

My mom had strawberries growing for a couple years when I was a kid and I've gone to local orchards to get cherries and strawberries (also, as a kid). It's been a long time since I've been to one. I looked into blueberry and cherry picking last year, but never went.

Not as an adult/as a paid activity. I grew up with a field on our property that had strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries though. So it was just how we got our berries when I was a kid.

@regberadaisy: a neighbor said the same thing to me and she grew up in the city, too. I grew up int he country, I don't even wash the wild berries before eating them. haha!

We live in the Willamette valley where black berries are a vicious pest, so we pick a lot of them in the wild. We took a long bike ride around our neighborhood last night and my daughter must have eaten a pint of them.

We live just down the road from a pick-your-own raspberry orchard! I LOVE raspberries, so this is like a dream come true.

@mediagirl: haha I just don't know enough and worry what if I pick something I *thought* was wild berries but they were something poisonous?!?

Have picked strawberries on a farm previously and want to bring LO but in the past have also picked wild raspberry, strawberry and blueberries! Sooooo much better than farmed. Just have to watch for black bears because they agree.
