There have been times I've been tempted if I got a piece of fruit (like a Mango) or vegetable that was bad when I sliced into to it, but I don't think I actually went back to the store to do it.
I did get money back because of a price adjustment or the cashier charged me twice.

I've bought too much of some things and returned the next day. Usually nothing perishable though. I'm bad at portioning so I always end up buying more than I need, and sometimes I don't want to keep the extra's!

I have returned meat that was bad when I bought it. Specifically a pork roast. Ugh, it smelled terrible. Once I returned a package of chicken tenders because it had a piece of plastic in it!

I have returned meat that has spoiled well before the expiration date but I don't think I'd return produce.

I once bought a yogurt that had a hole in it from Trader Joes. I called and asked if I needed to hold onto the receipt or item and they said just to tell the cashier next time I was in and they would take it off my next bill. What great customer service!

Yes, i bought berries at Publix and came home only to find the underside of the packaging covered in mold.

I made mr. Bird return pickles before 
he bought the store brand because they were BOGT, they were not the pickles I wanted, he was a good sport & returned them & got the other ones

I've done it many times.
Strawberries that are bad, food items that have expired or past their sell by date.
It's annoying, but I just tell the cashier or customer service the next time I go and they give me my money back, or let me have the same item for free.

Not that I can remember...usually I figure it isn't worth the trip back to the store, then there's the trying to find the receipt issue. If it was a decent chunch of change I'd consider it though.

I have returned yogurt that was already expired on the day I bought it (didn't check the date in the store - but it shouldn't have been on the shelf!)

A few times, once when I bought a bunch of candy for work and didn't end up needing it I returned it the next day ($20 worth) and for spoiled meat that wasn't past expiration date. Never had a problem - good customer service!

I had to go back recently and return a bag of coffee--I had accidentally gotten DH decaf, and that would NOT have made for a happy morning!

I don't think I have ever actually done so. I might if it was just abhorrently bad, but so far I haven't encountered anything that terrible.

Just once. A loaf of bread was moldy and I had just bought it the day before.

I've bought my store's brand organic ultrapasteurized milk that was within date and spoiled - TWICE! Once I bought salmon that smelled fishy when I got home. That store gives you 2x the money back when you return something b/c it's not fresh.
And once the local grocer sold my husband ROTTEN mussels. I'm not even sure how the meat guy got them in the bag. They were awful.

Well, I'll definitely be returning something today. I have it in my car so I remember to do it on the way home.
I bought two cans of coconut milk for $3.39 each. I needed it so I had to buy it. I then realized I need to stop at the asian market and they had coconut milk on sale for $0.99! Yup, definitely returning these two cans.

Yup, a few times... usually produce that's gone bad (like blueberries at Costco - I've gotten a couple packs that had fuzzy mold on the bottom layer) or containers missing their safety label inside.
