I saw one for the first time today.
I've basically had a sinus infection for a few years and never took care of it. oops.
My doctor thinks the tooth pain I'm having is really sinus pain! derp.

Yes! One of my clients is a former ENT and I saw him while he was still practicing. I wish he hadn't sold his practice so I could keep seeing him! Also, hubs needs to have a procedure to clean out his sinuses and he is being a baby about it so I want my Dr. client to talk him into doing it already!!

Yup! Thought I was just having bad sinus infections, ended up I needed sinus surgery. Had gotten so bad that I was at threat for meningitis. Whoops!

Yep. I thought I had recurring migraines (and was being treated by a neurologist) but ended up spending more time with my ENT, having surgery, and losing the headaches for the most part.
My ENT is also an allergist and plastic surgeon, so it's been helpful to be able to have everything taken care of in one place.

Yep. I had my tonsils and adenoids removed when I was a teen.

Yep, i got endoscopic sinus surgery in 2008 and it changed my life. I had tons of scar tissue from years of sinus infections.

Yes, I saw him 2 wks ago and going back again on Thursday. I have bad allergies and I believe I'm being exposed to mold and other stuff at my office. I took prednisone for sinus inflammation and it helped but now the horrible sinus pressure is back. Blech!

Man all you saying it was life changing has me wishing I haven't put it off for so many years! I know I need mine cleaned out but have putting it off. Anyone sleep better/stop snoring? my husband would push me to do it if I could quit snoring!

@LuLu Mom: sinus problems can affect so many things. I was exhausted all the time and i felt amazing after my procedure. Its worth it!

Yikes! Hope you get things cleared up!

Yes - I was having major migraines, GP sent me for an xray, cat scan then to an ENT. Turns out I have acute sinusitis so the inside of my nose swells all the time causing sinus pain. I have a prescription to keep control of it but I don't like to shove too many steroids up my nose so I only take it if my sinuses are really bad.

All the time! He's my go-to for throat infections which I seem to get a lot of. He always prescribes me a steroid shot and it's seriously like heaven on earth when I've been sick haha.

Yes, I love him! I have flat Eustachian tubes in my ears, so I get ear infections like a child would. His suggestions have made a huge difference! He also clipped LO's lip tie.

yep. waited 2 hours to see him and after i was in there for 30 seconds, he said, yep, we need to take your tonsils out! worst recovery ever (yes, worse than child birth!) but best thing i ever did! i used to get sick all the time every other month for a month and since then (5 years ago) i've rarely been sick!

I also had a multi-year sinus infection! I fasted for a few days and it cleared up on its own, it was amazing!

@mrbee: wow!
I had one for 6 months and I had no idea that it was a sinus infection. I was so glad when I finally saw a doctor and she prescribed some antibiotics to clear it up. I thought my nose was a permanent leaky faucet.

I went to one when i needed my tonsils out about 7 years ago. I'm currently dealing with reoccurring sinus issues and i think i'll ask my dr about going to an ENT at my appt tomorrow

Yep! I had a nasal septoplasty after college, because one of my nostrils was basically blocked by a bone. The surgery made me feel SO much better!
