I vetoed a long sleeve shirt and sweatpants combo last week on a 113 degree day. I guess I should pack away some of this stuff!
There were lots of tears from my 3 year old. "I need to wear this!"

T is obsessed with a quilted jacket. It's hot here- sorry girl.
I also had to hide her heart sunglasses because she wanted to wear them all the time.

I've had to explain why we wear underpants under dresses repeatedly.

It's a daily battle to explain exactly why we cannot wear the same dress as yesterday, even though it's a favorite.

@oliviaoblivia: hahaha yes, this. And pants/a skirt of some sort are necessary if you're going outside/answering the door.
I had to tell my 4 year old today that she couldn't wear a super glittery and fancy tutu that belongs to her 2 year old sister to a park with water and sand features. Just....nope!

Yes. Daycare ruins clothing and I can't get stains out, yet they end up back in the drawer and my husband puts them on our daughter. I try to get her to change and she refuses.
That reminds me, I'm totally going to go through her stuff now and get rid of anything that's ruined.

@oliviaoblivia: And I thought DD2 (who chase shirtless boys working out in the park) was the one I had to worry about!

I've had to veto too warm outfits as well. I could pull them out of the drawer but I don't really have anyplace to put them.
The other day she pulled out a blue and white striped shirt and blue and white flowered pants. I tried to say they didn't match but she looked at me like I just didn't get it and pointed- "blue and white, blue and white, mommy!" She got to wear that outfit.

@Foodnerd81: My daughter does this too- she basically just wants to wear pink on every part of her body every day and justifies her choices by saying "pink and pink is matches". Whatever. She is 2 1/2.
I did have to veto the dirty pajama shirt and undies with no pants or shoes combo she picked out the other day.
