I'm not pregnant yet so I can't say if this is normal. Hopefully someone else can give you a helpful answer on that. I would hope your doctor would have said something if this was a concern.

But on the topic of your doctor at your next appointment in two weeks I would go with a list of questions written down that you really need the answers to. Be clear and firm and let him know that the appointment is not over until all of your questions are answered. Yes he is the doctor but you are essentially his customer. You are paying him for his services as an OB and you have every right to demand that he take the time to answer your questions.

They told me they thought my daughter was head down (by feeling on my stomach) but I found out at 40 weeks by u/s that she was breech and was most likely breech the whole time. From my understanding it's difficult to tell by external exam if they are head down.
But it is normal to be head down. The baby is just getting ready. They can still turn and move around too so it may not stay head down.
Sorry you're having difficulty with your provider. I would share that with him, and hopefully he'll hear what you're saying and better address your concerns in the future.

Your baby will move a lot. He can be head down one day, and breech the other. I wouldn't worry about it at all. If you start dilating, having contractions, effacing, and your baby engages, then I would be worried

My son was head down for the majority of my pregnancy and it was totally fine.

I'm with LemonDrop - mine has been headdown since the 2nd trimester. She's still that way and it's perfectly normal

count your contractions. i think my insurance company said if i get 4 within an hour, could be a sign of pre-term labor.

My LO was head down for most of my pregnancy. He was born 6 days late, everything was fine.
