Would anybody be interested in a "virtual" book club for Hellobee readers? I find people are frequently looking for good parenting book recommendations, and this may be a fun way to share the experience of reading together (albeit virtually). This could also be a good way to help bridge any disconnect between the blog & the boards. If you're interested, let me know. I'm happy to facilitate this and will post a blog with book ideas that people can vote on.

I planned a little book club with friends to read How to Talk So Kids Will Listen, and Listen So Kids Will Talk. Love the book, but we’ve had difficulty actually meeting in person. I would love a virtual club.

Good idea! I'm not terribly interested in parenting books but love to read. I wonder if we could start a couple groups or even alternate between parenting/fun?

I'd love to participate in one...Admittedly, there were a bunch of us that tried to do one related to book about parenting boys and I couldn't get it off the ground.
We picked the book, but no one read it in the time allotted to discuss it, some people dropped out and I couldn't figure out how to really facilitate a true discussion.

I think this sounds fun, and I'd be more interested in doing parenting books than fiction. So maybe alternating or having 2 groups like @babypugs suggested is a good idea.

I like the idea, but I'd probably be a pathetic participant. Sometimes it takes me a couple of months to remember to get a book I'd like from the library... so disorganized.

@Mrs. Peas: I think I am in the minority in that I like parenting books! Haha. That said, I would read anything non-fiction. I dont like fiction (but obviously dont let that stop you!! I can participate in some months and not others!).

This is a great idea! I don't know if I could commit to doing it, I guess it would depend on the book I think.
