@T.H.O.U.: here's a few shots of our agreeable grey.

Clearly lighting really has an impact.

@MamaG: Thanks. We are meeting with our painter hopefully next week so if I get my list narrowed down maybe I can see if he can get the samples from SW for me.

@QBbride: Thanks. Yes, if we can't find a painter to do the whole house in the time/budget we need, I may just go this route. Plus it gives me a chance to "try out" a color before totally committing to every hallway, room, etc.

@winniebee: @MamaG: Thanks! Agreeable is for sure a sample I want to try out. I think it may be a bit more neutral and a bit lighter than the normal Revere Pewter

@T.H.O.U.: I think it's pretty close in color but can look more beige in certain lights

If we can find a painter to do the whole house these are my top three right now.

Middle blue choice if we do an accent wall

@T.H.O.U.: congrats on the house! So exciting. we have a whiskers paint color which is a very soft grey and we like it.

So painting the whole house is not an option right now. I think we are comfortable doing an accent for the room instead of another neutral we have to coordinate.

@T.H.O.U.: just out of curiosity, what did you paint on? I love how big you made the swathes.

@ladybee: Walmart had those presentation foam backboards. I cut it down into 8 pieces. I think the entire board was $8. I read online it was best to paint to the edge on three sides and white edge at the bottom so you can compare the color against white.

@T.H.O.U.: looks great! We have a similar combo in our house - SW Grecian Ivory with SW Poolhouse as accent color for the whole house. Gray tones did not work in our house no matter how many I swatched- with the lighting in our house made it all look like cement prison cells.

We love the combo - it's very calming and easy to find rugs and what not that match.

Excuse the party decor from ds2's recent birthday.
