Holy crap that escalated fast! Pit contractions are NO JOKE. I could barely breathe and definitely wasn't able to manage them. I really wish I'd been able to use the shower/labor tub to see if that helped at all. Oh well, I gave it my best but I'm now happily resting with an epidural on board. They won't check me again for a while because of my ruptured membranes so I'm not really sure where I stand. My doc thinks we're looking at welcoming the little one in the 'wee hours'. I can't wait to meet him!!Update: family got here, things got busy and I forgot to push the send button... Just checked and I'm fully dilated !!!! Laboring down for a bit then it's really go time!!

We welcomed Brandon Emerson into this world at around 10pm last evening. He is 6lbs14oz and 19.5 inches of perfection. We are blissed out and so grateful for these sweet baby snuggles!!
