My birthday is halloween and I love it! It's such a fun holiday. As a kid it was so great to have costume parties for my birthday. As an adult it's fun to get together to trick or treat with the kids and celebrate my birthday too.

My birthday is right before Thanksgiving. I never really cared one way or the other, but it was hard to plan birthday parties as a kid because people were always busy and the weather was crappy.

My birthday has fallen on Easter but it has only happened a couple times and I didn't mind! I still had a separate party or celebration.
LO1's birthday will fall on labor day or weekend a lot which can be tricky for parties since people are often away. Last year we just had grandparents celebrate on the day and a playgroup party during the week which was fine but will get tricky as he gets older.
LO2's will be Mothers Day sometimes but I think birthdays are more important so I'll make a point it doesn't get overshadowed. I mean he is one of the best presents I could ever have so celebrating his birthday is a present for me too!

My birthday is close to a major holiday and I have always loved it. I think of it as a continuation of the celebration. It definitely all depends on how your family sets it up though. Mine always separated the events.

I have 2 friends with Xmas birthdays, and one on new year's eve! They seem not bothered by it.

My birthday is very near Persian new year, which my family celebrate, and every few years it's on Easter. Doesn't really bother me, just makes me like that time of year more! This year we made an Easter basket for lo, then they made me a cake for breakfast. Win win!

@Eko: I am due with #3 the first week of November and had my other babies early - I've told DH that I'm not pushing of the baby tries to come on Halloween.

DD2's BDay usually falls on Mother's Day week/end, and DD1shares my birthday. I'm thankful both are really far apart from other big gift holidays like Christmas, though.

DH's birthday is usually a day or two after Thanksgiving. He doesn't seem to mind, but I do feel bad for him as it does seem to get overshadowed by Thanksgiving. It's hard to get together with friends because everyone is out of town or with family.

My birthday is close to St. Patrick's Day, but I've never felt slighted! What I did feel slighted by was how it always coincided with Spring Break!!

My birthday is usually the week before Thanksgiving. It's far enough apart that it's never bothered me.

My 31st birthday was on my first Mothers Day. I think it's special. I never thought it was overshadowed. My Moms birthday is 3 weeks before mine. We are doing a brunch for our birthdays and Mother's Day, it's efficient.

ETA my MIL, her twin bother and my Grandma were all born Christmas Day. It can be stressful to keep everyone happy.

Nope! My birthday is during a month when there are pretty much zero major holidays whatsoever (August)

My LO was born November 27th so it always conflicts with Thanksgiving.

My birthday is on Thanksgiving every 7 years (I think). I didn't mind it growing up. As a kid, I always had a separate party (sometimes just a couple friends, or family and sometimes a bigger party) but then we often did birthday cake and mini celebration when extended family got together for Thanksgiving, so it was like having extra birthday. Plus, my parents are divorced, so I have birthdays at each parent's house. My mom used to say that I had a "Hanukkah Birthday" because they lasted for 8 days!

Mine is a couple weeks before Halloween. I don't think I ever I ever felt like it was too close.

Babies' birthday was around Labor day this year. I'm sure at some point they'll have their birthday fall on Labor day. I think it's a cool birthday to have because they might get the day off and/or a long weekend. It's not a gift giving holiday so it shouldn't be affected like a Christmas birthday.

Mine is right after a big holiday and yeah I couldn't stand it growing up. I always felt forgotten. I still don't really like it as an adult.

Not exactly a holiday but I got married the day before my birthday. I don't really like being the center of birthday celebrations so it works for me. Before we had LO we usually did a weekend trip somewhere. DH did promise no combined gifts (unless they are really nice) when we chose the date

Labor Day. I was actually born on Labor Day, which always amused me as a kid because my mom went into labor on Labor Day. I loved it because I got a 3 day weekend for my birthday, but it wasn't a holiday anyone actually celebrated. We got married on Memorial Day weekend and it's worked out the same for our anniversary. DH has the extra day off!
