@angelachase: I did! I had a CP in April, followed by an anovulatory cycle or very delated O in May and got my bfp in June. I think the same thing happened for @SorryCharlie:.

@onthemove: so so sorry for your loss, hopefully everything regulates soon so you can have an august POAS stick!

thanks for all the tips about prenatals. i definitely wasn't taking them with food so i will change that from now on! glad it wasn't in my head. (you know i was secretly telling myself it was pg symptoms! ha!)

@onthemove: I had a miscarriage last July and a second one in May. I could tell that I O'd normally each month after. Each person is different. There is an old wives tale though that you tend to be more fertile following a miscarriage. My aunt works in the maternity ward at a hospital and she swears it's true. FX.

Question! I am on cd 12 of what I assume will be a 27 day cycle. That said, my cycle can vary from 24-27 days. I have been using cheapie OPKs and haven't had a positive yet, despite testing 2-3 times/day for the past several days.

However, I'm wondering whether I o'd last night/this morning? I had a slight elevation of temperature (I'm usually around 97.3 and this morning was 97.8) but of course I won't know until tomorrow if it's sustained.

Is it really possible I could have o'd without the OPKs picking it up? I'm so annoyed - only had sex last night, so if I already o'd that would be just one time and not w/ great timing, at that.

ETA: cervical fluid seems to have dried up, too, leading me to believe I may not have caught o.

@meredithNYC: hmm, I'm no OPK expert at all but I would think with testing 2-3x a day you would have caught it? Maybe you missed it still? ESP since CM is drying up. You got a session in yesterday so that's good! Maybe again tonight too?

Does anyone get cramps off and on the whole month?! That seems to me happening to me now. Like, since AF stopped I have felt some every so often. No bad, just mild?

Also, I am noticing cm, should I start with the OPKs or did I miss the window for testing with them? I'm only on CD 16, I don't usually o until 19 or so.... So start testing today??

Thanks for all the support, ladies!

@bigskygirl Last month was only our second month of trying, and the first month trying 'like we meant it' (OPKs and temps rather than just checking cm)

    @simplyfelicity That's really encouraging!

  8. MrsKRB

    nectarine / 2465 posts

@meredithNYC: Have you not had a clear positive, or not even close to a positive? I would think if you had a slightly dark 2nd line you might have just missed O, otherwise maybe the temp spike was a fluke (didn't you say you went out the night before?). Also my CM sometimes dries up randomly (like if I didn't drink enough water) but then will be back to normal.

@hellobeeboston: I don't get AF cramps but I do get pinchy cramps, it's been much more noticeable since I've started tracking my cycles and listening for symptoms. And yes, start testing today!

  9. Hoots

    kiwi / 673 posts

@hellobeeboston: I had cramps on and off the last two cycles, but I think mine are due to PCOS. When I was having AF regularly, I didn't get them.

  10. meredithNYC

    pomegranate / 3314 posts

@hellobeeboston: Yeah, think I will try tonight just to be sure that I'm doing everything I can! As for OPKs, I think you're good to start today

@KelLeeLeee: Not even close to a positive - just really faint lines. One thing I will say is I do think it's tough for me to get super concentrated urine since I drink an extreme amount of water, lol. I did actually notice after I posed my question that I do have a little bit of CM now, so I think I must still be in. I'm wondering if I just have less CM in general now that I'm in my 30's.

  11. MrsKRB

    nectarine / 2465 posts

@meredithNYC: That's possible. And I have the same probably too re: water, I can only test with FMU or else it's too diluted.

  12. MissLace

    apricot / 311 posts

@meredithnyc this is my first month using opks and i was testing once a day until cd13 (32 day cycle) and twice a day since cd14 and im currently on cd18 and still havent gotten anything darker than a SUPER light barely-make-it-out line. According to all the calcs i should have O'd today or tomorrow but still nothing on a strip shows up. Its so frustrating. Here to us actually O'ing sometime soon!

  13. travellingbee

    hostess / papaya / 10219 posts

@loki: you're doing an awesome job keeping up with the roll call!! Thank you so much!
@meredithNYC: I would assume you're still waiting to O and keep at it until a confirmed temp shift.
@hellobeeboston: all month? Maybe it's just gas...? I cramp a bit at ovulation but it's not super strong like with AF.

  14. hellobeeboston

    honeydew / 7235 posts

@travellingbee: yeah, maybe it is just gas. Lovely!

@KelLeeLeee: shoot just seeing you say you test OPKs with fmu, I was thinking about doing it when I get home from work. Maybe I will test tonight and tomorrow. Which tests do you use? In the past I used the smiley tests, but soooo expensive, you can't test as often. I got cheaper ones this time.

@Hoots: thanks for feedback! The cramps started as my period ended, so weird. Perhaps it is just gas though!

    nectarine / 2465 posts

@hellobeeboston: I've been using clear blue advanced lately, but for cheapies I like the Babi brand, they're much easier to read than Wondfo, you can get them on amazon, not sure if they are sold in stores.

  16. meredithNYC

    pomegranate / 3314 posts

@MissLace: It's so frustrating! Especially for something that is supposed to make things easier!

An update on the o front: finally got either a positive or VERY close to a positive this morning. Wanted to get down to business, but my husband was not feeling well and so things never "finished". I know it's not fair for me to be annoyed, but I am! Going to try tonight and just hope it isn't too late.

  17. meredithNYC

    pomegranate / 3314 posts

@hellobeeboston: I also use Babi, on recommendation of @KelLeeLeee. I was a little frustrated at first because it felt like it took forever to get a positive, but that's just my body - not the strips. Got a positive this morning and was so excited. And yeah- can't really beat the price. I started with Clearblue Advanced Digital at first and just couldn't sustain using them at the price.

  18. loki

    pear / 1787 posts

@travellingbee: i'm trying! not sure if i'm updating too frequently but i have to do them as i see them or i'll forget! no problem at all, i'm happy to be involved! can't wait until we start getting BFPs and i get to report them!

@meredithNYC: i know how you feel, we BDed like 5/7 days last week and the two we didn't i was FURIOUS with my dh. but he had baseball & hockey really late on consecutive nights. i should probably cut him some slack. but i get sooo irrationally angry haha.

  19. meredithNYC

    pomegranate / 3314 posts

@loki: I am way impressed you made it 5/7 nights. Low sex drive over here, lol.

  20. loki

    pear / 1787 posts

@meredithNYC: honestly i have an insanely low sex drive. like. before TTC we hadn't had sex in months. literally. so now that i have an actual reason to, we are making up for lost time. my dh is a bit bitter about it but whatever. haha.

  21. auggiefrog

@meredithNYC: oh, no! Hope he is feeling better tonight!

I finally got a positive OPK, two days in my cycle after I normally do. I can tell this is going to be a frustrating TTC cycle already!

  22. hellobeeboston

    honeydew / 7235 posts

@meredithNYC: if you got a positive then tonight will be perfect timing!!

  23. meredithNYC

    pomegranate / 3314 posts

@loki: Tell him to be happy it's happening at all!

@auggiefrog: Thank God for OPKs, though, so at least you know. Are you charting, too?

    @hellobeeboston: Hoping so!

  24. auggiefrog

    kiwi / 631 posts

@meredithNYC: I've been charting for a few months, so I feel like I have a pretty good handle on my cycle. I don't like it when it decides to throw me for a loop.

  25. hellobeeboston

    honeydew / 7235 posts

@auggiefrog: I hate that!! Last month I was like 5/6 days late and I had been totally predictable for a few months before that!

@travellingbee: I'm 4dpo according to FF. I didn't think my temps has jumped enough, but apparently they had. What are you doing to keep busy in the tww?

  29. travellingbee

    hostess / papaya / 10219 posts

@Runnergirl: I have a crazy 16-month-old, my in-laws are visiting, & on Wednesday we leave for vacation. So yeah… I'm pretty busy... Hopefully that will make it feel faster

Silly symptom spotting because it is obviously too early… but I have a sinus headache which when I look back at my BFP cycle I did at 3-4dpo also. So maybe?

  33. MrsKRB

    nectarine / 2465 posts

    @travellingbee: ooooh!!

  34. meredithNYC

    pomegranate / 3314 posts

@travellingbee: Not in TWW yet, but close! Positive OPK on Friday, temp drop this morning so I expect a temp rise tomorrow am. Or at least I'm hoping! This is my first month charting, so I'm still kind of getting used to it. My fingers are crossed that your symptoms are leading to another BFP !

  35. angelachase

    apricot / 306 posts

@travellingbee: I hope that's a good sign! FX! As for me, I'm feeling absolutely nothing out of the ordinary here at 4 DPO.

  36. auggiefrog

    kiwi / 631 posts

@travellingbee: I think I just began my TWW. I had a positive OPK on Friday, and my temps have been slowly rising. Now I just have to figure out how to keep myself from dwelling too much on TTC and my body signs for the next two weeks.

okay I have officially finally ovulated! since we are on a family vacay, we haven't had any opportunity to ttc in the type A manner that I would like, so we just did it on the day that I got a positive ovulation test. Not our best effort, but it puts us in the game for this month!

    Cycle day: 23
    TTC Cycle: #1
POAS date: August 5 at the earliest - but I always poas at the earliest possible time.
Baby #: 2 (lo is almost 13 months)
Plan this month: I am still breastfeeding so I have had wonky cycles that have not had a clear LH surge. I have mostly just been tracking my cycles trying to get a handle on them, when I finally got a clear positive yesterday. If this doesn't work this month (and I am pretty sure it won't), I think I am finally back to pretty normal cycle wise. My cycles are a lot longer now than they were pre-preg.
Something exciting this summer: we are currently on vacation at the great lakes with my husband's family.

    persimmon / 1363 posts

@loki: it's the iron in the prenatals that is making you nauseous - I couldn't take them at all the whole pregnancy. The gummies don't have any iron in them - that's why people find them easier on the stomach. I tried many bottles of expensive prenatal vitamins before I figured that out.

I figured I'd join, even though we're more NTNP than all out TTC quite yet...

    Cycle Day: 17
    TTC Cycle #: 1
    POAS date: August 13th
Baby # 1 one for me, my husband has an 8 year old
Your plan this month: nothing out of the ordinary
Something exciting you've done or are doing this summer: A few little trips, to the beach with my husband, on a family trip in August. I'm getting into sewing clothes and have made myself a couple of dresses, so I'm excited about that.
