I need to go out and shovel again at some point today. LO absolutely loves the snow but it's only 18 degrees out with a feels like temp of 3 degrees, brrrr! That seems too cold to go out and play?
At what point do you not let your LO go outside due to it being too cold?

If she is properly dressed I would take her out but only for 10-15 mins

We just dress warmly. We were out yesterday with winchill of -4F (and have been out in colder). I just try to dress a fraction less warm than I have them dressed, and be a bit conservative in how long we are out. They had a blast making snow holes yesterday despite the cold.

Daycare will take the kids out until its -4F. I think they have a windchill rule too, but I can't remember what it is. You just dress them more warmly.

-16 wind chill...it's the same guideline used by out preschool.
Our problem is that the cold aggravates my son's asthma, so we do have to be careful, it's not just being wimpy!

I am such a pitiful wimp. I needed to read this....my current cutoff is 35 degrees, unless there is snow (then we have to enjoy it because it is so infrequent). I think I need to reconsider my limits haha. This kid is going to go nuts inside all winter.

@Mrs. Lion: I'm with you. My poor child has hardly been outside in the winter because I hate the cold. I leave that to daycare and my husband!
