So we more or less had a pleasant year at two; terrible twos really wasn't terrible at all and I was able to channel my inner Janet Lansbury. But as we inch closer and closer to 3 (she turns 3 in a few weeks), I've been seeing a lot of threenager come out! We're particularly having a tough time with these 2 things -

1. Changing in the morning. I was just replying to the morning routine post that I change her when she is watching TV. But lately she decides that she doesn't want to change, ever. Not right when she wakes up, not when she's watching tv. Also, she doesn't want to pick out her clothes, doesn't want to choose between my options, and also doesn't want what I picked. So basically she just ends up crying while we wrangle her to change. I have let her go to school in PJs before, she doesn't care at all but am I just going to give up changing her 5 days a week?!

2. Dinner. She doesn't want to get seated, then doesn't want to stay at the table, and she knows she can't have snacks if she doesn't eat dinner. So some nights if she's really bad she will just take a few bites, eat fruit and call it a night.

Incentives/threats aren't working, and I feel like Janet Lansbury is too passive; unless that's what I am supposed to do? Just don't fight her on anything, let her go to school in PJs and not eat for the foreseeable future?!
