It depends what you want, and how bad you want it! I'd start checking all the ads. You probably have to go in the AM as I'm sure popular stores will be very picked over by the PM.

Last year I think I went to Target at some point before noon to get a few things but they weren't big ticket items so I knew there was no rush.

This year I'm just gonna browse online on Cyber Monday.

In the past I have been to Target and Kohls on Black Friday - never for hot ticket items just good deals and the lines...... OMG the lines....... prepare for the lines...... make sure your phone is charged so you can HB or FB for an hour or so!

Well this year might be my first time EVER. My sisters want me to go with them to Walmart (UGH) after we are done with Thanksgiving at my mom's house. I usually avoid this will everything but there was 2 things i really wanted from the ad! A new sewing machine and a Shark vacuum.

I usually make a list of what I need and look at ads before coming up with a plan.... My goal is usually just to do all Christmas shopping that day. My mom & I usually do Target, ACMoore and whatever other random places we need.

@MamaBehr: My parents usually get them in the newspaper but you can find them online too. I've been getting emails from stores with their ads this week also.

I have only every shopped Black Friday for half off holiday stuff. For me that just means visiting department stores. I try to go right when the store opens to pick up all the items I previously scoped out.

One year my mom and I went shopping on Black Friday and news cameras caught us walking in the middle of the mall. People in the mall said we were quite comical in our disdain for the crowds. Now, I do not walk inside the mall, but will walk around the mall to get to other department stores.
