DS is 1 month old and has reflux... How do we successfully do a dream feed if I'm not supposed to wake him? Burping him will wake him, and we can't put him back down right away after feeding. Him spitting up usually wakes him too. Any tips?

For our LO we would pick her up (if she was deeply asleep she would either not wake up, or might open her eyes a little and I'd shush her and sway with her a little), pull her paci out, then stick the bottle in and she'd eat. When she was done I'd sit her up and give her a few pats to burp her (if she didn't do it fast I didn't persist-- she is so calm when she dream feeds I feel like she doesn't get as much air as usual). That would usually wake her up but again, just barely. Then I just sit and rock her while holding her semi-upright for 20 min. By the end of the 20 min she is undoubtedly back deeply asleep and I can set her back in her bed.

My LO didn't have reflux so I'm just spit balling here....don't actually burp him but can you transfer him to laying on your chest without waking him? My LO would always be so relaxed after eating that I could lay her on my chest & snuggle her for a bit before laying her down.
