I used to always have to have the TV on a sleep timer in order to fall asleep. Either that or read a book (I'd be out in 10 min!)... but anytime I'd try to fall asleep with just the lights turned off, my mind would race and I could never fall asleep right away.

Since living together/getting married and having DH next to me, I've gotten accustomed to falling asleep with everything turned off. But I occasionally will watch tv or read a book to help fall asleep.
