We are currently using a fingertip toothbrush for LO, 2, but he's bitten is pretty brutally a few times so we're looking at switching to a toddler toothbrush. We'd tried once before but I felt like I couldn't tell if I was reaching all his teeth and brushing well.
He fights pretty mercilessly. Any tips?

When my Lo was a fighter I would lay her back on the bed and brush from behind her. Sometimes it takes two people if they're really fighting so one can hold the arms down.
My lo is pretty good now and I lift up her lips and make her tilt her head a hundred different ways so I can see all of her teeth and really get near the gumline

My LO stopped fighting when we all started brushing our teeth together as a family. We use a real toothbrush on her, but I always make sure to brush really gently. Now at 22 months, she will let me really get in there and get all her teeth. I brush first and I show her how I brush my top teeth, my bottom teeth, and my "back teeth" and I open my mouth huge to show her. Then I do her teeth and I tell her I'm going to do her top teeth, then her bottom teeth, then her back teeth on each side.

For a while, we had to hold her down, but we got her involved in the process so she is happier now. We sing a song, she brushes, then I brush.

I guess I just assumed I was?
I would brush in quadrants and be done - we visit the dentist every 6 months and they tell me I am doing a good job on their teeth
