I thought it was Tay-uh, and absolutely love that name.
But I've been seeing through searched on Internet it may be more commonly pronounced Thee-uh (phonetically). Although I equally love that name too.
If you wanted to use the name pronounced Tay-uh, would it be spelled differently? Maybe Tea with an accent like Tea Leoni?

I'd pronounce it Thee-ah TAy-uh wouldn't surprise me either though.
I know a Taya though, which might be easier for people to 'get' then Tea with an accent.

I know a Tay-uh. Her name is Taiya. She does have to explain the pronunciation.

DD's name is Thea, we pronounce it Thee-uh.
She occasionally gets called Tia when people first meet her but the vast majority assume correctly that it is Thee-uh.

@yoursilverlining: that's why I wanted to see if I was the only one who initially thought Tay-uh! It seems like a pretty even mix, at least those who may say Thee-uh, know people who say Tay-uh. So very interesting!

@shellio: yeah kind of a bummer that I tend to have a knack for names that have multiple pronunciations/spelling lol!
But it's still growing on me, even as Thee-uh. And I brought it up to DH and he really likes it!
