In general, I put gloves on BEFORE coats, so that they are kind of held in place by the coat sleeves. My DD still manages to pull off anything but snowstoppers, though!

@dolphin: Also...if not using snowstoppers, I try to get gloves that can be tightened across the back of the hand (either with a velcro flap or an adjustable "belt" kind of clip). The old North Face toddler mitten used to do that, now they tighten at the wrist instead (which I haven't tried, but don't look as solid to me).

We use snowstoppers or MimiTENS. Both are awesome !
