I'm in denial that my LO is going to be 1 in a few months. I know I need to buckle down and figure out invites. I think I know which ones I want to order. It's just a digital file from Etsy that I have to get printed somewhere.
How far out did you order invites/get invites printed?
If you had a digital file, where did you get them printed?

We ordered ours 2 months before the party. Only cause my friend designed and ordered them and she was due early Mar. So in case he came early, I wanted everything off her plate since she didn't charge us.
I would hold off though cause her nap schedule could change by then and you will want to schedule the party around that.

2 months before, friend designed and printed all invites and envelopes. sent out a month before. no issue with his two nap schedule.

@lawbee11: We did it at 2 cause we thought that she would have been moved up to the toddler room and on one nap a day. She wasn't, she just was in transition. Started full time in that room the following Monday. So DH took her that morning to get coffee and pick up the cake, so she took a cat nap in the car. Then we put her down at noon for a nap. She woke up around 130, so she was exhausted after the party but there was so much going on that she wasn't cranky or anything. Everyone stayed till 530-600.

I ordered our invites about 3 months before (I'm a little OCD, ha!) from a shop on Etsy. They printed invites for me, then mailed directly to me. It was nice not having to worry about printing on my own. I mailed them out to our guests a little over a month before.

I think I ordered DS' 1.5 months in advance. Had them printed at Office Depot (cheap!)

@rahlyrah: kinkos will have nicer paper options than staples!
I designed Chloe's a few months in advance then had them ready to be mailed about 6 weeks before the party date.

DH is a graphic designer, so he will be designing/printing them for us. I just gave him some inspiration yesterday, and I've given him a deadline of June!

I ordered about 6 weeks early, mailed them out about a month early....and I opted to have the designer print them. It was just easier for me.

We ordered ours about 2 months before and had them printed through mpix.com - they were AWESOME quality.
