I've had a dating u/s and a nt scan. Anatomy scan next week. That's probably it, unless we decide to do an elective 3d/4d further along in 3rd trimester!

I had one at 7 weeks, 12 weeks and 20 weeks. Then I had a 3 more (I think?) in the last few weeks of pregnancy. They were worried about her size (measuring big).

We had a scan at 5-something weeks because of pain I was having, then another one at 7.5 weeks. Haven't had another one. Anatomy scan is next week though and I can't wait! That's probably it for me.

A lot but I am labeled high risk and I have GD so my Drs do a lot of quick scans in the 3rd tri.
I've had 3 so far. Getting another in 2 weeks and my anatomy scan at 19 weeks.

One every appt, it is standard for my ob! Always nice to get a quick look
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
I'm at an RE so had one at 5w4d and 6w4d and will have one at 7w4d. Not sure if my RE will continue seeing me every week or not. I will graduate from my RE at 12-14 weeks.
I have been allowed to schedule appts with my OB and I will see them for the first time with an u/s at 8w7d.... so in 2 weeks.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
1) Dating
2) NT
3) Anatomy
4) sometime around 32-35 weeks i think to see what position the baby is in.

At my practice the standard is one at 20 weeks, unless you opt for an n/t scan. With my first pregnancy I was at an OB and had scans every 3-4 weeks starting at 5 weeks. With this pregnancy it feels weird to have my first appt scheduled knowing there won't be a dating ultrasound!

7 weeks, 14 weeks, and 21 weeks. Next time, we will skip the 14 week one.

I had one at 8, 12 and 18 weeks. I'll have another at 30 to check on the placenta previa and then take it from there.

I have had three so far (8w, 15w, 20w) and have another scheduled for 28w. Not sure if there will be more after.

I had a dating scan and will have anatomy scan. With DS, I had only the anatomy scan until I was overdue and had them like 2x a week to check fluid.

I'm high risk and have gotten 4 already (I'm 19 weeks tomorrow). I basically get one every other week (starting at week 16). It's kind of nice and reassuring to see Baby so often!

I had a dating, skipped the nt because we did the genetic screening, and will have the anatomy in a couple weeks. Technically that's all my midwives normally do. However, with our history I'll be requesting one every 6-8 weeks after that anatomy scan. Also, I had GD last time, so there's a good chance I'll have it again, and that apparently frequently means more ultrasounds.

My OB does a super quick (like 30–60 seconds) ultrasounds at every single appointment. So in addition to my big anatomy scan, I've had five ultrasounds at appointment so far plus one extra after I was having some concerning symptoms. And I'm only 24 weeks now so I'll have plenty more before LO's here!

I had one at 6 weeks and will have one at 9, 12, and 20 weeks. I'm also planning on scheduling an elective one at 17 weeks. I'll probably have a couple in the third trimester because I'm having twins.

Given my history, every appointment. 5 so far. And I think it may be SOP at my OBs office. No complaints here!

@hilsy85: that's awesome!
I am not sure how many....Just had 1 at 8 weeks and then I am guessing one at 12 weeks and then the anatomy scan, so 3 total? We'll see though.
pomelo / 5524 posts
I've had 1/week since 5 weeks (I'm 10 weeks today) because I see a RE and am high risk. I should graduate today and head to my OB a week from Monday where another will be done.
Since this is a new OB, not sure how many they'll do. This is my 6th pregnancy with 1 LO, so that will definitely play a factor I'm sure!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
I had 3; a dating U/S, one at 17 weeks to check a cyst on my ovary, and my 21 week anatomy scan.
bananas / 9229 posts
2 at the RE at 6 and 8 weeks, I think? 3 so far at the OB at 9, 12 (NT scan) and 21 (anatomy) weeks.

I had one at 8, 12 and 20 weeks with both girls. With DD2, I also had one at 32 to make sure she was no longer breech and low-lying.
nectarine / 2951 posts
For my first pregnancy, I had three ultrasounds: at 8, 12, and 20 weeks. I delivered at almost 39 weeks, so I didn't have any other scans.
I hope it is the same for this pregnancy!

Updating my response:
1) 5w4d at RE
2) 6w4d at RE
3) 7w3d at RE
4) 8w6d at OB
5) 9w6d at RE
6) 12w4d at MFM
7) 14w4d at OB
8) 14w5d at OB (for spotting)
Next scheduled is
16w5d at OB
20w4w at OB

Bump!
This will be my 5th ultrasound.
My doc always seems nervous about giving too many but reading a few of you got more makes me feel better.
Do your docs not like giving too many of them?
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@paigeface: this pregnancy I had the dating scan around 7w, one fluke/quick scan at 11w, NT scan at 12 w, and anatomy at 19w!
It's just standard procedure at my OB's office for "average/low risk" pregnancies to only do the dating and anatomy scan!
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
3 so far--one in the ER because of spotting, another a week later before of heavier spotting, and the NT scan. I have a 4th scheduled for 16w4d to check on a possible SCH (we're also hoping they can determine the sex then) and my anatomy scan is at 20wks. So 5 scheduled so far. I'm not sure if they'll do any after that.
I had 3 last time, plus a last minute scan in triage to check position when I was in labor.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
I'm high risk because of age and IF so I've already had 3 at 12 weeks and one more tomorrow (nt scan). I know I'll have the anatomy scan at 20 weeks and I suspect some later on because of age and fluid levels...
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@paigeface: my OB doesn't like to give too many because of insurance companies. They don't like to pay for a ton of scans.
I'll update this since I should be finished having ultrasounds.
6 weeks with my RE
9 weeks with my RE
12 weeks with my OB
16 weeks elective
20 weeks with my OB (anatomy scan)
24 weeks with my OB (follow up to check on something found at the anatomy scan)
cantaloupe / 6885 posts
3 ... Dating at 9 weeks, anatomy at 20 weeks, and I am having one more tomorrow at 26weeks to get a few shots that they couldn't get at my anatomy scan. As long as the rest of my pregnancy is fine I shouldn't have any more!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
Both with LO1 and LO2, I had ultrasounds at 6/7 weeks, 12 weeks, 17 weeks, and then every 4-5 weeks until 35ish weeks. So around 7? With my first LO, I had monthly growth ultrasounds at MFM because of GD. This time, I get them because I have an antibody issue that could cause problems (but hasn't so far!).
nectarine / 2288 posts
I've had 3 so far and now will have a quick one at every appointment to check growth because I have white coat syndrome and my blood pressure is always high at the office. It's completely fine at home but my doc just wants me too have documentation in casei have to be seen by someone else. So I'm going to end up with quitea few total
