Ours was done in hospital right after she was born (it was pretty significant, second thing the doc said when looking her over after birth.) We paid 20% for the procedure, I just pulled it up - procedure was just under $700, we paid around $120 out of pocket after insurance.

Note: it was done by our pediatrician's office by the on staff doctor who is assigned to our delivering hospital.

Family doc did it, no cost (Canada).

I had a $35 copay I think? Rest was coveted. We saw a specialist in office.

None of the pediatricians at the hospital or afterwards liked the idea so it seemed like our best bet would have been to go to an out of network family dr who the lactation consultant recommended. I think it would have been a few hundred dollars. We didn't end up getting it done, I just pulled her top lip out for her when she nursed for the first couple weeks then she figured it out.

First time, saw an ENT. Neither of the two peds in the hospital wanted to do it. Said it was "insignificant". Our pediatrician disagreed. It was $33, which was our 10% responsibility for the procedure. Then it was $36 to have it re-done (with a laser) by a family practice NP who specializes in this.

We just had a $20 co-pay, I don't remember how much the full amount was. We had it done by a local doctor who specializes in breastfeeding issues.

We saw an ENT for LO's tongue and lip tie. We paid our $35 copay at the time of the procedure. He billed us the 20% we were obligated to pay after it went through insurance. Ended up being about $120. Even if I had to pay for the procedure completely out of pocket, it was totally worth it.

Nothing for either kid. Both done in hospital by ENTs I think.

Close to $1k total. It was worth every penny for the difference it made.
