By 4 months my son was on a 4 hour schedule drinking 7oz per bottle on average.
So 4 bottles (7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm).
28oz total in a day (of course some days a little more and some days a little less).

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I haven't got a clue because I don't bother getting her weighed! I didn't with E, either. I just feed her when she's hungry, stop feeding her when she loses interest and add another ounce to her bottles when she starts draining them regularly. If I can settle her in the night with just her dummy (paci), I do. If she wont settle, I give her a bottle.

Interesting I am just trying to figure this out today. I started weaning on Monday and today was the first day Of daycare drop off/back to work for me. He was 16lb at his 3 month appt and I sent him with 3 4oz bottles and I am definitely thinking he will be underfed (the teacher implied similarly ).

My son has taken 3 bottles that are 6 oz of breastmilk each at daycare form 5-11 months. And he nurses in the morning and before bed, so it's hard to say how much he gets then.
