So LO is 19 months and we have been accepted at one of the Montessori programs in our city. It would be 3 hrs M-F, so 15hrs total for the week that she would be there for 9 months of the year(summers off). I toured the school and sat in on a class and this place is truly amazing! I love it, so much in fact, that I came home that night and started re-doing all of LOs spaces to be more Montessori/Child centric and reading as much as possible here and on other sites!

The only issue is the cost, it's double all the other school day programs in the area, but the cheapest Montessori in the area. The other programs are not Montessori and are either 2 day or 3 day a week, for about 15hrs as well. Further, I'm a SAHM so we have only one working income, which is what DH keeps bringing up. Also, he thinks if we pay this much now that by the time she is 18 we would have paid for a college-like amount for her just to go to school.

I would love to hear from you about your experience and reasoning if there is only one working income. Thanks!
