We are a family of 4. My boys are 1 and almost 4 and we drink 3 gallons of organic whole milk in a week's time. I feel like it's a lot!!! Then again, everyone really loves their milk.

Probably 3 gallons a week. 1/2 gallon is sent to daycare and the rest is polished off by DH and DS (mostly DH.) He seriously loves milk.

We go through maybe a gallon a week, at the most. My husband is the main milk consumer, he has it on cereal 3 days a week and drinks it's well. Our toddler drinks it some mornings, and I use a splash in her scrambled eggs. I don't drink milk at all. We do also go through quite abut of half and half, in coffee and tea.

I would guess it's about a gallon for the three of us, a little more if my husband is working from home because his coffee consumption increases.

We go through about 1.5 gallons a week. I don't drink any, DH has 3 or 4 glasses most weeks, a little for cooking, and the rest is DD.

Baby just weaned so now it's a gallon a week. But I don't let my 3 year old drink milk all day and DH and I barely drink it. We use half a gallon to make yogurt each week and the rest they drink. The yogurt disappears really quickly too.

We don't drink much milk right now. Just DD drinks it so maybe 3L a week. We will have to buy more when the baby starts having it in a few months.

We go through 3 bags a week of homogenized milk for the girls.
Dh and I go through 1 bag of skim.
So maybe 5L total?

We go through definitely a half gallon each week, maybe a gallon on a heavy week. I don't use milk for much but maybe cereal once a week. Same with DH. My son just drinks it all day long. So maybe for just a 2.75 year old that's a lot, but I have nothing to compare it to.

We go through about 2 gallons a week-- my one year old gets 8 ounces with every meal, and my three year old gets 8 ounces in the morning and evening.
Eta-- might be closer to 2.5 gallons a week. Ugh. We buy a lot of milk.

2 gallons for my 2 kids and then I drink about a 1/2 gal of soy milk every other week.

About 1.5 gallons mostly just for DS. We're still mixing cows and goats milk so it costs an arm and a leg!

Somewhere between one half gallon and one gallon a week. LO is the only one who drinks milk; although I'll occasionally use it to cook with (mostly just homemade mac and cheese for LO)

Usually none. None of us drink milk so I just buy it occasionally for cooking purposes.

3 gallons a week for my family of 4 (but the baby doesn't drink it yet so it's just DD, DH, and me!). My husband loooooves milk, cereal, and coffee and DD drinks a fair bit as well. I feel like it's an insane amount for a small family.

DD doesn't like milk, but I offer her a small glass still at every meal. But DH and I are big milk drinkers. Between the 2 of us, we buy 2 gallons a week

3 kids and we go through about 3 gallons a week. They drink the majority of it.

Probably about 3/4 of a gallon of whole milk for the kids. And Hubs and I go through 3/4 of a gallon of soy milk.

The 4 of us (1 and 4 year olds) use about a gallon a week but we also do half n half in coffee. Almost all of it is used by the kids but I do occasionally have cereal and use it for cooking/baking. DH rarely using milk.
The kids each drink 1 sippy cup of milk a day and the rest they drink water.

2 gallons a week for us with two kids drinking it (nearly 5 years old and a 2 year old). DH sometimes has milk. I only drink almond milk.
pomelo / 5720 posts
1/2 gallon. DD doesn't really drink it so it's just DS. We also buy almond milk but DH uses it for smoothies on the weekends so we don't go through it quickly.

2 gallons for a family of three when we are all home. Daycare provides, so less when my son is there full time.

We (adults) don't drink any, so we get one jug (is that a gallon?) for DD about once a week. She drinks like 6-8 oz morning and night.

We buy a gallon. DS1 isn't drinking as much anymore but he probably drinks half of it. Dh and I use it for cereal, his coffee and if we make cookies we have some to drink.

We go through 1 gallon of almond milk each week. Most of it is used by DH and I for smoothies. LO drinks MAYBE a cup of milk per week (she drinks water, otherwise).

We go through 1.5-2 gallons of organic milk per week. The price adds up fast!
