Hi everyone. I've started charting for the first time this cycle but I have my doubts I'm doing it right. As I was learning about it, I read that it's important to take your temp as soon as you wake up, barely moving before, etc. And that you should take it around the same time every day.

Are the temps really that sensitive? My thermometer measures to the 10th of a degree and I don't see it change very much. For instance, the last five days, my temp has measured 97.7 four times and 97.6 once. Is that normal? Or should I be seeing more of a variation? I'm CD10 today, I don't expect to ovulate until CD17 or later. I haven't been taking it at the same time every day. It's ranged from about 3:00am - 5:00am (I've been waking up around then randomly these days for some reason)

I admit that I don't take it RIGHT when I wake up, I'm usually in a half asleep state for a bit before I can make myself roll over to grab the thermometer. I don't think that should be that big of an issue?
