We clean pretty regularly, but honestly... our best trick is scheduling playdates and dinner parties at our place. Then we clean feverishly to prep for guests, and coast off of that for a week or so.
How often do you clean?

Weekly bath rooms/vacuuming. Daily kitchen and picking up

We vacuum every day, but I have a schedule for each day that gets each room of the house cleaned at some point during the week. I helps me from getting overwhelmed!

@mrsjyw: same here! We dust weekly too & I like to put mopping on my weekly to-do list but it happens maybe every other week or sometimes once a month lol

@mrbee: we do the same! Nothing motivates us more than the fear of people coming over.

Vacuum daily, kitchen daily, mop every other day, dust weekly, laundry every 3 days-ish, windows and glass doors once a month. DH has bathroom duty which he cleans weekly.

Not nearly often enough. I just spent an hour and a half chipping away at laundry and there is still so much of it! I'm also fighting that thin layer of dust that comes from destroying and renovating a bathroom...even though construction ended two weeks ago...

It pretty much only gets properly clean when guests are coming, mil especially, lol.
Otherwise it's vacuum 1-2x week, mop 2x month laundry when I get close to running out of clothes, haha.
I'm a terrible house wife.

Tidy up, clean kitchen and pick up every night. Once a week for everything else: dust, real clean, vacuum, bathrooms, etc. unless we have company coming over midweek. Usually we only do laundry on the weekends, and maybe 1 load during the week.

When I'm not super pregnant, I normally do at least one chore a day, like dusting or cleaning bathrooms. Every night I try to make sure the whole house is at least tidy and the kitchen is wiped down and the sink is empty. Laundry is done as needed.

@mrbee: Same here! I try to pick up on a regular basis though because I really hate clutter and seeing stuff everywhere.

@MapleMoose: wow. Can you come live with me? Haha. Seriously, how do you make time??
@mrbee: we do the same thing!! Especially overnight guests for us then it gets really clean!!

Once a week we dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, clean bathrooms, and do laundry. I try to keep the kitchen clean throughout the week.

Ugh. Hardly at all since T was born. And that was 6 months ago. We can't seem to stay ahead so we usually just give up

Once a week I do all my routine cleaning but we don't really deep clean... I wonder if I can keep this up once LO is here!

@Danizaur: I feel you there! It's hard because I really so most of it. Aka like all of it

@Mrs. Sunshine: @hellobeeboston: It irks me to have clutter and we often get visitors that just pop by so I'm always prepared for that. Then again, I'm very Type A and also the embodiment of Monica Gellar LOL! I do the vacuuming and mopping first thing before DH goes to work so he can watch the baby. The kitchen gets picked up throughout the day when LO is in her high chair or content with some toys. I do the dusting, windows, and laundry when DH gets home at night or on the weekends. No way I could get stuff done with a clingy baby always wanting up into my arms.
