We've cut back on our meat consumption, for health and money! We love meat, and used to eat it at least 6 days a week, in one form or another. We now eat it probably half as much, depending on the week.

Almost everyday. We don't eat as much red meat anymore.

I was a vegetarian for 5 years and every now and then I consider returning It was such a habit to not cook with meat that it was difficult for me when I met my husband to figure out how to incorporate it back in to the menu. Even still, I typically only eat poultry. If I make something that calls for red meat, I usually opt out myself because I just never acquired a taste for it after my veg years. I still prefer to cook meatless and order meatless out often but my husband would be super sad to never have it.
I maybe have it 4-6 times a week. It would be less if my husband didn't mind.

I have fish or seafood 1-2 times a month. Regular meat really grosses me out so I won't cook or eat it. Except like chicken nuggets or something for the kids.
@ldh112: You are better to your DH than I am. If he wants meat he has to buy and cook it! He usually buys lunch so gets it then.

Very rarely! Much healthier and more affordable not to, and I think it makes me more creative (vegan mac and cheese? How can I make a pizza crust out of cauliflower, how many bean varieties can go in one chili, etc.)

Typically once a day. We do occasionally do vegetarian meals, but it's always harder to come up with something satisfying!

Never. Vegetarian whole family of vegetarians.
I've recently given up dairy as well, just about vegan these days.

Almost every day. Red meat is probably averaging 2-3x every two weeks? On non meat days it's usually fish or shrimp...not always cheaper than meat!

Just about every day. I would be fine eating less, but I'm married to a man who feels a meal isn't complete without some meat protein. When I make vegetarian meals, I always reassure that I'll make more food if he's not full at the end (which he always is!)

We don't usually eat red meat at home (ok we do eat bacon but that's it!) But we do eat a lot of ground turkey and chicken. I want to cut down more but both DH and LO hate beans so it's hard to come up with ideas that don't include pasta (we eat so much of it!)

Most lunches have meat.
Dinners we have fish/seafood usually 2-3x a week, and vegetarian 1-2 times a week, meat on the remaining nights. Red meat a couple times a month.

Once or twice a week. I was a vegetarian for years but started eating some meat postpartum. I still prefer not to though. We have been trying to eat a bit more fish since it's so good for you but it's rough on the budget.

Never. It's been... 10 years, I'd say? I doubt I'll ever eat it again. DH does eat meat though, but mostly for lunch and when we go out.

A few times a week, but no red meat and rarely chicken. We mostly eat pork products like sausage and ham. I wish fish and seafood were more widely available here because we would eat a lot more of those things.

Three times a day. I'm on a low carb GD diet and pretty much the only thing I can eat is meat. I would like to cut down after this baby is here because it really is so bad for you in excess.
grapefruit / 4361 posts
Never, since I was 8 years old. DH eats it once a day, either as sandwhich meat or a dinner add in.

At least 1x a day!
I've been wanting to do Meatless Monday but can never think of anything to cook...lol

Um a lot? I eat all da proteinz. Lots of chicken and turkey lately

Never! LO and I are vegetarians, DH eats vegetarian at home, probably eats meat 1-2x a week when he's out.

@looch: Why don't you consider chicken or turkey meat?
We each meat every day! I'm not good about getting protein from other sources.

Every day! Occasionally we might go a day of not eating any meat, but I'd say that's rare.

@Adira: in my mind, there's a distinction between mammal and bird

I'm vegetarian. Dh and lo rarely have red meat but prob have chicken once a day or so

We eat a lot of chicken. I try to make meat the "accessory" and not the main dish. I love beans, but DH isn't so smitten.

I try to include 1 vegetarian meal a week and to not eat meat at lunch if we're having it for dinner. But DH will make himself bacon pretty much anytime I make anything vegetarian - he doesn't feel like it's a meal if there's no meat.

If by meat you mean mammal meat then never. I eat poultry or seafood about 5-6 days per week. I'm actually considering giving up poultry all together though.
grapefruit / 4278 posts
Every day, lunch and dinner pretty much always, breakfast some days. I'm including any animal protein though, chicken/turkey/fish/etc.

Constantly. Bones is my daughters favorite food. I limit processed meat, grain fed meat and pork. I focus more on fish, seafood, lamb, grass fed beef, & chicken.
