Couple times a day. Sometimes more. Today it's been twice. At nap time and then when I took some rubber bands away from her...

A lot. She recently just discovered the tantrum, and she's really giving a thorough testing.

both cry every day.
DS usually cries bc of something DD did.
@yin: hahaha I feel your pain.

Crocodile tears make an appearance a few times a day but she brings out the big guns for things like me trying to dress her or put her in her highchair.

Usually once, sometimes twice a day. Today because I'm the meanest mommy ever and told him no to a second show and he actually had a full on melt down and cried. Cried once more because daddy was playing hide and seek with his lovey and he thought he wouldn't get him back (bed time). He's 2.5.

Once a day? He's a fake crier and whines more than crying!

We have no cry days but it's maybe once a week. There's definitely whining and fake crying everyday though!

A lot. She has a strong mama preference right now and cries whenever she has to hang out with daddy. I feel so bad for my husband! She also cries when I drop her off as school, though we've had a few good drop offs recently.

A few times a day, usually short loved frustration cries. She has been really clingy at night lately so she cries if I leave the room or need to put her down

@Sapphiresun: DS just discovered the tantrum as well! Gotta love this stage!
@autumnlove: To answer your question, a few times a day during tantrums. Thankfully they don't last very long, but I could really do without! haha

Multiple times a day. A lot of them are frustration cries, but it still sucks.

Multiple times a day! It never lasts long, but still. I'm finding this age (16 months) to be challenging, because he can't communicate that much and he gets frustrated. He's also getting his molars which definitely doesn't help.

I would say she cries 2-3 times a day, she cries out of frustration when things don't go her way (or she hears the word no.) Sigh, it gets old since it's like whining, but it's usually quick passing.

Almost everyday. Usually related to taking pjs off or getting out of the bath.
watermelon / 14467 posts
Daily. Usually when she's tired or very frustrated (like when I wouldn't let her have the crayons this morning).

Also, occasionally we have those days where the question is 'how often does your toddler not cry'.
pomegranate / 3759 posts
I don't know if I can really answer this question! Lately it's been awful. My toddler has been crying to sleep every day for I can't even remember how long. It's wearing on me.

@plantains: yes. Much better question for us
LO cries or whines most of the day. It's very tiring. I hope he gets out of this phase soon. Maybe tomorrow, that'd be nice.

Depends on how many times there are that I have to tell him no, or can't read a book the second he brings it to me, or walk out of the room, or change his diaper, or stop him from being wayyy too forceful when trying to show his baby brother affection, or...well, you get the idea. We're hitting the terrible twos early over here!

My 4 year old doesn't cry everyday but she still whines. My almost 2 year old definitely cries daily.

Too often.
Can't have mama's coffee? Cue tears. He's out of food on his tray? Tears. Wants to go outside but the door is locked? Oh yeah, more tears.
I'm hoping it's just a phase because he doesn't have the words yet to communicate his desires.
