Wine, a pretty plant, a picture frame with a photo of you and your friend in it, a book you liked, or chocolate.

A funky kitchen towel. I would hit up Etsy for some ideas. This is local to my town but maybe something similar for yours?

Chocolates, nice food items, a nice scarf or other small accessory.

Maybe a scarf? Tea or coffee set? Wine? Adult coloring book (my favorite idea)

@mediagirl: I need it by tomorrow so it has to be local
that's cute though!

Do you have a local spice shop? I just found a small local shop that sells artisan spice blends and got some small gift sets of those for coworkers. I also got a jar of artisan cocoa mix and a funky mug for my boss.
Funky/cute tea towels are also a great idea. Or adult coloring book. Local wine/beer. Body butter.

@mediagirl: I love the kitchen towels that say "Lettuce turnip the beet" but I'm super cheesy like that.
Other ideas:
A bracelet that holds a hair tie. http://tinyurl.com/zh4rsmj
($12.50 for the cheapest option).
Tiny stud earings. http://tinyurl.com/z4qyqza ($16.00)
Cute pens or pencils. Maybe a tiny journal to go with them. http://tinyurl.com/zk9tahw ($11-$16)
Holiday ornaments - if you all exchange gifts every year, it might be fun to do an ornament exchange every year instead. This is a personalized monogram ornament ($10) http://tinyurl.com/jv52mtr
Good luck shopping!
ETS: - Just saw that you need these by tomorrow. Hope you can find something local!

Do you have an Old Navy near you? I'd get them each a scarf in a different pattern:

Go to Hobby Lobby! I always find fun, affordable options there. What about a tote bag and a mason jar cup that has a lid and straw?
I also love the fun/funky dish towel idea. You can find those at places like Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Homegoods.
And I know it's cliche, but I love getting coffee mugs, especially ones with fun sayings on them!

Yes, I need to plan better!

what about an Essie nail polish ($8) and some manicure supplies (nail polish remover pads and a nail file, or Seche Vite topcoat if you can find it locally -- about $5)?
or wine!

Nail polish, spa socks and foot cream. I've made little goodie bags like these for my friends before.
