I only made a Amazon registry for the sake of getting the 15% completion discount. I need to order a crib mattress, carrier, some sheets, etc. and plan to use the discount. Can you think of other things to add for baby or my 2.5 year old? Not gift type things but more staples? I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting!

Diaper cream, pull ups?, sunscreen, lotion, books, big sister gift?, shampoo, video monitor, medicine, teething tablets, sippy/straw cup, pump/BFing/bottle gear, diaper genie refills?, some beauty/Heath items for you qualify too!

@78h2o: @MrsBananaGrabber: It's been about 8 months since we used our completion discount, but I know I was able to add things last minute! I think I added mostly breastfeeding things like milk storage bags, breast pads, etc... Small items, but the savings add up

Yes You can add things last minute!
However, they are only eligible on items from Amazon.com in the Baby department. And even then there were some weird exclusions.
Sippy Cups, Teethers, Tylenol, Creams, etc.

I would double check but my registry said you had to use the completion discount 60 days before your due date. I didn't try to change my due date or anything to get the discount. Also need anything for J?

@Eko: ok, I'm going to look into all this, but I know with J I used the registry completion discount a few days before she was born.
I'm going to add sunscreen, diaper cream, etc. if it will let me. Thanks!

I've added baby shampoo, soap, and lotion that I currently use for my toddler to my baby registry.

@78h2o: I added a nice waterproof mat for the beach to my baby registry. And lots of pump/bfing supplies - extra tubing, membranes, flanges, connectors, nursing pads, etc.

@Eko: It said the discount was available 60 days before until 90 days after.
@dagret: I added a waterproof picnic blanket (and it was eligible for the discount!) thanks for the suggestion!

@78h2o: Hum ... Amazon must hate me. We have Amazon Mom too but when we tried to add things, it wouldn't allow it.
