@Mrs. Jacks: so exciting! Did S have a CS with M? Ignore me if that's too personal Any progress on the name front?
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@Shutterbug: S has to have C sections. I feel bad that it has to be that way.
As for names, after my blog post and all the amazing ideas, I think we're down to just a few. Mr. Jacks gets very decisive, so I have to pull him back from getting too attached to one thing. Which is good because he was really stuck on something I didn't like before.

@Mrs. Jacks: well, at least she knows the drill this time. Hope these next two weeks fly by!

@Mrs. Jacks: 14 days?? How awesome! Do you have everything ready?
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@bluestriped bee: totally not ready! It's been a hard couple weeks. I've been working a lot and emotionally we're trying to stay a little bit neutral. Easy to say but hard to do! I'm on service overnight tonight and we can spend some time nesting after I wake up on Saturday afternoon.
How are you feeling as the embies nestle?!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: Tired from the progesterone but otherwise I'm feeling good.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@babycanuck: I got my progesterone check tomorrow. Then I might POAS on Monday which will be 5 days after my transfer. I know this sets myself up for devastation and disappointment if the tests don't get positive, but I really do want to be one of the normal 'fertile' people who can see their tests turn from negative to positive. This might be the first time I see a BFP and I'm hoping to document it.
As for this weekend, nothing really. I found a used iphone 5 with 64 gb on craigslist and I really need the extra space. (I currently have the iphone 5 with 16 gb). I'm excited about that, but stupidly I told that guy I could meet him today to see the phone. Yesterday when I talked to him I must of said tomorrow, which is Friday and not Saturday like I wanted. Duh! So now I'm trying to see if he'll have time to meet me sometime this weekend, but with superbowl this weekend it screws things up. I really do want a new (used) phone. I have to keep deleting photos on my phone to take pictures. Haha.

@bluestriped bee: Thinking about you! How was the progesterone check?
As for me, a lot is new! We had our IVF consultation on Wednesday and because I was at the end of my cycle, spotting, cramping and not pregnant (three pregnancy tests), I started birth control on Thursday! It's been a weird journey so far...haha, the BCP I was put on is HIGH in estrogen, I'm sure for a reason, so Friday overnight I threw up because I was so nauseous. That made me nervous, so I took another pregnancy test on Saturday, not pregnant. Yesterday, my husband and I BOTH had to take 4 antibiotic pills at the same time...I was worried I'd be throwing up again, but I made it through the night! The nurse is calling me on Monday to go through a some questions and schedule my first ultrasound appointment. It's all happening!!
As for this weekend, there is a snowstorm here in Iowa, so I'm not going anywhere today! I'll watch the super bowl at home with my hubs and keep nursing my cold that is NEVER ending.

@sarahnicole218: That's awesome!!!
@bluestriped bee: FX! I'm so excited for you!
@Mrs. Jacks: I'll be thinking about you these next 14 days and hoping everything goes according to plan.
As for me. Just waiting to see if I O after the clomid. My RE said no temping and OPKs are always positive, so yeah, I'm completely in the dark. I've felt O a couple times in the past, but not all the time. Nothing so far, but my ovaries feel heavy (I guess that's the feeling). I go for bloodwork on 2/11.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@sarahnicole218: I think the progesterone check went well. They only call me if something needs to be changed. So I'll assume everything is okay with my PG. The nurse who took my blood asked me if I was going to test early or wait and I told her that I would. She told me not to get my hopes up if it's negative but that if I get a positive, I can come in to get beta done. That's exciting and good to know!
OMG, I'm so sorry about you getting sick on the BCP. When I was on BCP, I noticed that my prescription form had the option of the nuvaring. I was on the Nuvaring during my non-TTC days and so it was nice being able to use it. I'm dont like taking pills so it was one less pill for me to remember. Maybe you can ask to be switched.
@Hoots: thank you!
persimmon / 1259 posts
@bluestriped bee: They are only having me on it for like 3-5 weeks, I'm just going to try to deal with it. But I am going to bring up my side effects to the nurse to see what she says.

@bluestriped bee: I'm not looking forward to Monday (today is my first day off in two weeks), except that you are POAS so I'm excited!

@bluestriped bee: Glad to hear that things are looking good for your bloodwork so far!! Also excited to hear about your POAS adventures!!
@Mrs. Jacks: Excited for you!
@sarahnicole218: Must be exciting to be getting started!!
Nothing much new for me. We are working on TTC on our own this month, so maybe I'll have something exciting/miraculous to report in two weeks !
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: @GreenThumb: It was negative today, but it's still early. Though, it does cast a bit a doubt in my mind today that it might not be the cycle. Stupid POAS. I always forget about the reality of the negative test. It's okay, it's still early and I still have time to get the BFP. I'll probably skip tomorrow POAS and wait til 7dpt.
pear / 1986 posts
@bluestriped bee: Definitely don't lose any hope! I'm not sure if it is just anecdotal or not, but they say frosties sometimes take a little longer to implant than freshies. I know some people get early BFPs with IVF, but I think a lot more don't get anything until 7, 8, 9dpt…
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@bluestriped bee: boo! It's still really, really early though. Did you tweak the test for any hint of a line? I became an expert tweaker when we were trying.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@GreenThumb: Thanks. Yeah, I'll just wait a few more days to test.
@Mrs. Jacks: No I didn't tweak the test. I didn't see a line. It's okay I'll concentrate on other things til I re-test on Wednesday.

So I'm hesitant to post but I'm going to anyway...
I got a faint BFP Friday and Saturday, went for betas Saturday (14) and today (47). I'm not yet late, and I didn't think it would happen this month because FF marked my O date really late and I didn't see DH around that time at all.
Next betas are Wednesday and for the next little while I'll be praying a lot for this to be a sticky baby. The RE knows I'm leaving next week for 3 weeks so I'll find out what next steps are when I go in again. I definitely have to stock up on progesterone.

@babycanuck: Oh my gosh, I'm so (cautiously) excited for you!! I hope you have a sticky bean.
@bluestriped bee: I've seen a few of your updates in various threads, and am really rooting for you and your embies! I hope you see that BFP tomorrow!
Nervously introducing myself to this thread. I've been in the past couple of TTC 6 mos + threads, but they've gone pretty silent lately. We're on month 22 of TTC our second with (so far) unexplained secondary IF. I'm 8dpo and trying to convince myself not to test until at least Thurs. I got a BFP on a wondfo at 9dpo with my son, so it's tempting!
This weekend we're going to try to potty train our almost 3yo. He actually asked to use the potty for the first time tonight at bath time, so I'm hopeful! Woo hoo, exciting plans, I know!
