If someone offered to take your kids for the weekend...

Absolutely. I haven't slept more than a 5 hr stretch in about a year. But G is still nursing, so I don't know how comfortable either of us would be with it...I don't want to threaten my supply and I'd be pissed to have to wake up to pump

When she's older though, totally! I think time alone with my husband is so important!

My first thought is.. "are you sure you want to do this? "

I would accept but check in on them and keep myself open if it's too much. Also, I would be open if they decide to give my kids back on Saturday or Sunday early.

Hahaha I'd have to say no! If someone offered, they'd have no idea what they're getting into and they'd be begging me to take the kids back as soon as DD starts wailing for mommy at the stroke of midnight. I miss sleep so much.

Naw, probably not. DS is still nursing. A year from now? Heck to the yes.

@Bao: what did you decide? Did you have a kid-free adult only weekend?

@Bao: I think not doing much is probably part of the appeal of a kid free weekend lol Glad you enjoyed and happy belated birthday!

I work full time and love my time with DS but it is also nice to have a night or two away and my MIL loves spending time with him so it is a win-win in my book.

@Bluemasonjar: @Bao: I agree! Not doing much is the best part of a kid-free weekend. Last weekend I visited my best friend (she's kid free) and we mostly just lazed around doing nothing. She kept apologizing and asking if I was bored and I'm like...are you kidding?!? This is freaking amazing! I sat on a couch for 3 full hours! In the middle of the day! I have an almost-2yo, that just doesn't happen!
She's 30+ weeks pregnant, she'll see soon enough
