If you even have a seam in the countertop? We have had a few granite people out and they all have different opinions on where the seam should go.
One suggested about a foot from the stove. The other suggested in the middle of the sink.

Ours is in the corner of our kitchen. You can barely tell it is there.

We had differing opinions, too, and while we ultimately found a slab big enough they could cut 2 L shapes & polish the opposite side to allow no seam, we had heard the middle of the sink, or near where the corner on the longer side would be. We were assured the seam at the sink would be well sealed & not as noticeable as one would expect.

Ours is U shaped so the two "legs" of the U are full length and the the crosspiece connects them.

Ours is in the middle of the sink - I don't think you'd see it if you weren't looking for it.

Ours is at the corner of the oven closest to the sink. I actually just noticed it for the first time today and we have lived here for 3.5 years.
@Mamaof2: our countertop looks just like yours- do you know if it's granite or Quartz? I've never actually been sure.

No seams anywhere. Large l-shaped island, long prep surface and 2 smaller spaces.
Pic of the long space - island is across and roughly 2/3 of the size (but wider and 2 levels)

About a foot to the left of the sink just before the corner. I have a drying mat there anyway, so I never notice it. I think even though the middle of the sink would be the shortest seam, it would be most noticeable since you use that exact space all the time.
