I think it would be useful to aim for twice a month for a deep clean.

I WAH and have someone come weekly for 4 hours. Our place is only about 1500sq ft, so I feel like we use every inch of it. She is much more efficient and thorough in her 4 hours than I could ever be, since I can never just devote a half day to cleaning the whole apartment.

Baby #2 is going to come soon, so you'll definitely have less time to clean! I think what you've listed will be a huge help, and you can always reassess whether more needs to be added (or removed) to/from the list.

Every other week. I would prefer every week but that's all the time she has in her schedule right now. She spends 5 hours and does kitchen, floors, 2 bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming. We rent a huge house and it's 125 per visit. I liked my old cleaners better. They did more -- folding laundry and changing sheets and doing dishes. But our house was a lot smaller then.

Honestly, if you are staying at home and there a lot, so "living" in the house a lot, especially with a toddler - you may need it cleaned once a week. We do bi-weekly, and when DH is away at work (3 weeks), LO and I do a lot of eating out when I get her from daycare, and we go and do tons of fun girl stuff on the weekends. We just don't stay in the house tons, and even if we do have a lazy weekend, we're still both gone all day for 5 days a week bc I WOH and she goes to daycare, so things stay pretty nice. When DH is home (3 weeks), he is home every day, and he keeps LO with him out of daycare on most days, and when they are here together every day - the house can turn into a hot mess fast! I noticed that I could see dog hair on the hardwood floors when the sun was shining on them the other day, and we are not due for the cleaning service until Tuesday...But I finally realized that instead of being in his room all day (the laundry room), the dog is out and about every day too when they are home, so that just adds to the mess and madness. So I'm probably going to get an additional cleaning done when DH is home. And if he was home all the time and LO was home more, it would have to be weekly. But I guess it really depends on how much you're home and how messy things get. And if you have animals:)

But I am super picky about the deep clean stuff - especially floors and bathrooms:) If those things are clean, I feel like the house feels clean. When I see dog hair on the floor, I feel like the house is filthy.

Deep clean once a month. Regular cleaning I would say weekly or biweekly depending on much you're home and using rooms and/or if you have pets.

I WOH and we have our 1500 sqft house cleaned once a month. If I stayed at home with LO the house would get dirty faster.

I would say monthly, if at all. I can't imagine your days are so full where you couldn't maintain your house and just have someone come help with the deep cleaning like bathrooms which is tough when you are so pregnant!

2x per month for kitchens, bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, polishing furniture, and windows. She doesn't do laundry or sheets or anything. Our house is 3,800 sq ft and a 100 year old Victorian, so with a toddler and pregnant as well, it's a beast to maintain!

I totally didn't realize this was just SAH. I WOH about 50 hrs a week, Sorry!

I came back to add a bit I remembered just now looking at an email we got this morning from our cleaning service...Just wanted to mention that the service we use gives a pretty significant per-visit discount with higher frequency. So in other words, it wasn't much more for me to get our house cleaned bi weekly as opposed to monthly, and the price break to go from 2x a month to weekly is also significant as far as per-visit fee goes. Just sharing:)
