Do you let them open and play with everything at once? Or do you hold back and dole out the gifts gradually? 
We didn't get a lot of toys (more clothes, gifts cards and books) at LO's 2nd birthday party so I let her play with them right away!

We planned on keeping some but she didn't get as much as we thought for her birthday. A bunch went on a really nice water table, thankfully! We are saving one thing till this summer along with something I bought at consignment.

Ages 1-3 I def held some back but after that they start to ask where the XX toy went!

We had a ton of gifts (big too) so we tucked them away in the closet and brought them out in phases!

If they are age appropriate I let her play with everything, some at our house and some are at grandma's. There were a few gifts that she won't really enjoy until she's a little older so those I store away.

I keep a store of toys at my parent's house, which helps to alleviate the pressure in our playroom.
