oh no!!!! i hope you guys can kick that nasty virus once and for all

i'm sick. was sick all wk end, thought i was getting better yesterday, but my temp goes up when i try to do anything & i hack a nasty cough. i've been up since four because i couldn't breath through my nose. i wish i could just get some sleep.

Ours! We got an awful cold just before Thanksgiving that turned into croup for L. He and I were sick for 2.5-3 weeks. Then last week he caught a 24 hour stomach bug. Yuck.

LO has been battling something for over 2 weeks, I took her in for the second time yesterday and they finally gave her an antibiotic for a sinus and ear infection (the first time they said she had pink eye and a cold...) I wasn't very happy because I thought it was a sinus infection 1 1/2 weeks ago when I took her in.

I've got a cough/head cold I've been battling for a week.

DH who never gets sick, has a cough/cold and he's been having some issue with his shoulder and has to get an MRI to see if he has a bulged disc.

I am finally feeling better but now L has a cough (or still has a cough; or has another cough!) so, hopefully by Christmas we can all be healthy. ugh!

I feel like I've been fighting something for weeks but it hasn't turned into anything yet. I usually get a nasty case of strep & tonsilitis every year between December-February so I'm waiting for that.

LO and I had a mild cold (she was coughing again last night, so who knows), and DH has some weird viral thing that could be HFM (but no one at daycare has it and LO doesn't have it - doctor thought it could be any virus) and a cold. He has sores in his gums, but nowhere else. He, of course, is taking it like a man

Since DS started school in August, we have, without fail, all been sick every 3 weeks. We're still fighting a cold right now. I am so over snot.

LO has been sick since last week with an ear infection and upper respiratory infection. She is still recovering, but along with that, she has gotten me and my nanny sick! Hubs is next I'm sure...

We thought C had croup, but it might be the flu since DH and I have come down with it too. My version is very mild, but I got a flu shot (so did C, though). I didn't think adults could get croup. DH has "

C still has a runny nose and a mild cough, but his fever seems to be gone today (9 days in).

DH has a sinus infection and the rest of us, including the baby, have colds. Yuck.

I have a nasty cold. DS has an ear infection. Good times!!

@ballerinabee: croup is a Barry cough, but it's less of a concern in adults bc our bronchial tubes are bigger so our breathing is less affected by it. I'm pregnant and our pediatrician warned DH that if I started to swell or have trouble breathing to take me to the er or dr right away - I had the same thing my son did.

Brady and I both have the flu.

Ugh at least one of us has had something since Halloween, it feels like. Right now DS1 is on Day 3 or 4 of a high fever and cough. That's on the heels of DS2 having a viral throat infection, which is on the heels of like a month-long cold for both of them. And there was a stomach bug for everyone in there, too.

We fought a stomach bug about 2 weeks ago. Mr. Frog (with the immune system of the proverbial horse) got sick first, overnight. Vomiting and diarrehea. He was done with it by morning, but was not well enough to much other than lay in bed, and he actually used a sick day.

He figured it was from bad Thanksgiving leftovers, and we purged the refrigerator.

Against my better judgement, I'd pleasured him orally and I believe it was a stomach bug because I caught it. I hadn't eaten the suspected leftovers.

My bout lasted a bit longer, and was awful. It's a terrible feeling as an adult to get that primal "oh my god I can't breathe" panic because your stomach is so violently emptying itself you can't inhale. Also I'm pretty certain I did the equivalent of 6 rounds of Ab-Ripper X in the span of an hour.

I haven't wanted to die like that in a while, thank goodness.

Pretty sure we're in week 3 of pertussis, though only LO has the classic whooping cough symptoms. He's on antibiotics while DH and I are riding it out, working from home.
We're all vaccinated, too! I got my Tdap in pregnancy like a good mama, DH had his, and LO's up to date but hasn't finished the series (he's only 6 months). Supposedly that should help to keep it milder. We'll see.

We just have the constant daycare cold. Luckily DH and I have managed to avoid getting it! Lots of fevers this week in DDs class though, hoping we avoid it!

@Mrs. Sunshine: that's exactly how I have been feeling! It's super annoying and now I just feel worn out.
