@twodoghouse: I hope Ben H is the next bachelor, I have a huge crush on him! I just caught up tonight after working way too many night shifts lately, I yelled NO! at the computer when she sent him home, lol.

I haven't been a fan of Nick or Shawn, but I like Nick better with all of his fumbly words and after seeing his family. I only partially watched Andi's season, but got bored and skipped most of it. I wanted to like Shawn, but he's too much drama.

I'm also watching Unreal, my husband is playing video games after bedtime and was asking which one I was watching since he couldn't tell the difference. Usually I would say less sex on the Bachelorette, but she's really going at it this season.

@Ajsmommy: I was actually talking to my husband about how hard it must be to be the family (or Nick's mom) in this situation watching him go through this again...watching him fall for another girl knowing exactly what happened last time. I think it's just watching someone you love fall in love with someone who you're not sure loves them back. Then watching her break his heart. I know they don't know that will happen yet, but they saw it with Andi's season, so I think they're just afraid that he's got himself into the same situation and will for sure have his heart broken.

@Ajsmommy: I think it was less about his "heart being broken" and a lot more about how he was portrayed by the producers and in the media. It was probably really hard to see him vilified. Also, if you watch the video someone took of him secretly talking on the phone on an airplane home right after the show was taped (I'm sure it's still online) you can tell he was truly blindsided over Andi choosing Josh.

@Ajsmommy: I totally missed his brother's open crying. I did see his mom well up while she was talking with him, and that made me get teary eyed just because I have DS. The last thing I would want for him is to be in pain, so I get the mom getting teary eyed. If it were my brother...eh...I don't think I would either. Maybe that makes me a tin man with no heart

@buttermilk: it drives me a little nuts that nick can't look anyone in the eye when he's talking to them!

@hellobeeboston: lol so right! I wonder if she is actually conflicted or if she has totally known who is gonna pick for a while. I can't imagine not seeing them for months and then making the call!

Ummmm idk, if Nick gave me that poem I think I might throw up in my mouth a little bit...

Team Shawn, Nick creeps me out. Although watching Shawn and Kaitlyns date right now is a little awkward.

@78h2o: I'm convinced now that we were all tricked by the producers! I read the spoilers and knew she picked Shawn, but I still just don't get it from what we saw on TV. I think they wanted to play up the drama between Nick and Shawn (because otherwise the season was fairly drama-free!) so all we saw of K and S were convos about Nick. So their relationship just didn't seem as fun, exciting, loving, whatever, as her relationship with Nick. But Shawn mentioned in ATFR that there were so many great moments that never aired because they were focusing so much on the Nick and Shawn drama. I thought Kaitlyn seemed really frigid with Nick on the after show so I don't know what that's about. I thought he handled himself pretty classy (compared to Andi's season, certainly!) at the after show. He sure seemed pissed when she dumped him though. I do wish she'd told him before he laid it all out and was about to propose. That seemed unnecessarily harsh, especially considering what he went through with Andi already. Makes for better TV I guess.

@twodoghouse: I wonder if the producers told her she couldn't tell him early. Makes it more dramatic for her to wait till the final moment.

I'm watching ATFR. Before this show, I hated Nick. Now I like him. He's doing an awesome time of standing up for himself!!

I didn't like Kaitlyn at all and like her even less after reading this! I mean, what a @(#*#H. She's basically saying that what she told Nick was all BS if she knew it was Shawn the whole time... and to make fun of Nick after breaking his heart!? How insensitive can they be!

I think the producers really manipulated things as they always do. I am sure they told Kaitlyn she couldn't tell Nick until the rose ceremony - and that she had to let him talk first. And they told Nick to go ahead and give his speech and propose. I think she was really shocked he pulled out the ring and thought she would have a chance to talk before he did that. In comparison, when she saw Shawn, he gave a little speech and then she gave a little speech - he didn't propose until she told him he was "the one." So the producers really set that up. It's so interesting to me that all of the former cast members from the show seem to be truly friends with the producers (namely Chris Harrison and Elan Gale) when they toy with them so much.

@twodoghouse: The reason I think Kaitlyn was frigid to Nick is that, unlike other seasons, Kaitlyn and Nick had a prior relationship, each other's phone numbers, etc. and knowing both of their personalities I'm sure they talked after the show wrapped, and Nick had some harsh things to say and Kaitlyn doesn't pull punches either. Both of them seemed like they were not fans of the other.
