We are hosting our daughter's birthday party on June 11th. Is now too soon to send out the paper invites? Should we wait until May 11th to send them out? They will be going into cubbies at daycare.
Sincerely - the over-thinker.

No, I would say around a month is fine! I just got a bridal shower invite for June 5th and actually thought "too soon!" people book up over the summer.

I would say it's close enough to May 11. Summer time gets busy!

I think sending out invites 4-6 weeks in advance is good, especially for the summer!

I think a month's notice is normal, so no I don't think you're too early.

That's the same day as LO's 1st birthday party! I just sent out invites for it on Monday. So I'm in the camp of, not to early!! Send those invites out! I feel that summer for everyone fills up so quickly, it's better to be a little ahead of the game!

I think 6 weeks before would be the earliest I would do? I usually send about a month before.

I just got an invite for a June 12th party....if it had come next week we'd probably have already made plans!

I sent out e-vites 3 weeks in advance this year and I thought that was kind of late. I usually send out at least 4 weeks in advance (paper or evite) but I had too much going on this year. So I think it is great that you are sending it out early.

I already sent out invites to my son's third birthday party which is June 18. I know people get busy during the summer, and I wanted to go ahead and let people know the day/time, since a few had been asking me. I feel like it's a little early, but I've gotten invitations two months in advance before!

We did 6 weeks for my son's party, but only because it was during peak holiday time. I think a month is sufficient. If you pass them out too early, people forget.

Okay...I went ahead and dropped them in their cubbies today. I'll see a bunch of the parents tonight so I'll be able to talk to them about it then. Thanks for the info and I didn't even think about the fact that it's summertime and that means busy schedules!
