It makes me so sad when my lo is one of the last kids at daycare. I feel like a neglectful parent even though I know that's not the case.

Yes when she was in daycare she was always the last in her class. They closed at 6 and I got there at 5:30! Without traffic it would take me 15 minutes from work but rush hour was close to an hour - nothing I could do about it. I always wondered where the other parents worked because she was usually the first one dropped off,

Yes either the last or one of the last. I hate it and feel bad too @mediagirl! My husband I have pretty far/full of traffic commutes and he works longer hours than me and sometimes I get caught up. Sometimes being a working parent stinks! I often wonder what other people do and what their hours are.

I used to always be the last one, but now I leave 1/2 hour earlier (go in as well) and she's in the middle of the pack.

I pick my kids up 30 min before school closes and sometimes they are some of the last ones, especially Fridays.

Yes and it blows my mind because I get there BEFORE 5, but I am often one of the last to pick up. I thought I was so lucky to get out of work in time to get there by 5, but apparently most of the parents get out even earlier.

He's never been the very last kid, but he's been one of the last handful of kids there because my meetings run over or traffic is b*itch.
There's always these 2 kids that are always the last one there because their parents don't pick them up until AFTER closing time! The school doesn't charge extra for late pickup so they abuse the crap out of it. It makes me so mad! I understand emergencies come up so it happens, but these two are late every.single.day.

Yes, i hate it. We have days where she is the first one there and the last to leave. But there are only 3 other kids there (and one of them is T!) and I think the other moms don't work full time...I don't think this will be the case at her new school. I do feel bad sometimes, though!

Yeah, she used to almost always be the first one there and last one at the end of the day, but we moved centers to a place that was actually on the way to work/on our way home, so it is really rare these days. She's usually one of the last in the evenings, but there are lots of kids there already in the mornings.

She's one of the last there, and sometimes the very last. Traffic can be really bad, especially with all this bridge construction. I leave at 4:45 most days just so I can make it before 5:30 (daycare closes at 6:00) and I only work about 15 miles away!
