@macintosh: Have you tested on any HPTs? Or are you just wating for tomorrow's beta.
@mrswin: So happy your ultrasound went well!!
@Jenn23: So happy for you!
@Mrs.Pinecone316: Congrats on the twins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@momazon: You are awesome! Thank you for sharing.
As for me, just on BCP. Nothing really exciting. Still waiting on my IVF calendar. Meeting with finance person to confirm costs. From what I heard last, I'm still on track for a ER in Oct/Nov.
Question for those of you who are pregnant. Would you participate on a new board under infertility to support your pregnancy? Trying to support all users who have or have had IF. I want the IF boards to be a safe place for everyone and I feel much better stalking the 'Pregnant after IF' thread than regular due date threads. Plus I know the level of worry can be a little be higher for those of us who have to wait so long for a BFP.

@bluestriped bee: Oct/Nov will be here before you know it! I feel like Oct-Dec fly by for me every year with all the excitement of holidays. Can you explain the new board, is it different than pregnant after infertility board? I def feel more comfortable talking with my IF ladies but I ended up joining the due date boards too just because there are a lot of people in the same boat as far as ultrasounds, milestones ect and a lot of the IF ladies are at different points in the process . I would always participate in any new board for IF though! They have been nothing but blessings for me to help not feel alone through all this.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: I've been waiting until next week's ultrasound (to see heartbeat) before joining the other threads. I'll hopefully be there soon!!
So I think the PIO injection possibly hit my sciatic nerve last night? I'm having excruciating pain going down my left butt cheek and can barely walk, bend, etc. My husband is on his way home soon to be here before our son wakes from his nap to help me. Since this morning I've been in so much pain and barely have been able to function. I couldn't figure out what the problem is but then realized that the shot was on the same left side last night. Is it possible to have delayed pain from a PIO injection? I would have thought if he hit a nerve I'd have pain right away, but I can't figure out what else it could be. It hurts so much and I can't take any meds. Has anyone had this happen before?!

@Mrs.Pinecone316: So the current 'Pregnant after infertility' is just a thread for now... a super long one at that. I was hoping that we suggest to have a board created for just people with IF and are pregnant. To get a bit more activity around you guys that are pregnant. I do think MrBee might not create the board until he sees more threads about being pregnant after IF. Does that make sense?
The thing I just thought about is how to be sensitive to current users with IF who are not pregnant. For me, I would love to see more pregnant IFers around these parts, but I can see how others might not want to see it. Though, if we create a board, IF users could 'hide' the board if they are sensitive to the pregnancy talk.

@Jenn23: Oh No! Honestly it sorta sounds like you did hit the sciatic nerve. Really hope its gets better soon. Can't wait for your next ultrasound!
@bluestriped bee: Ok that makes total sense now. I skimmed over the board vs a thread part of it. Yeah I think that would be a great board. I remember coming here from WB and being so thankful they have a infertility board instead of just one TTC board. I understand what you mean about being sensitive to people going through IF, for me seeing IF success stories always gave me hope. A couple days ago we were talking about how even those of us who have gotten pregnant don't just magically not feel the pain or worries of infertility anymore. It would be nice to identify those who have gone through infertility easier, in the pregnancy board or due dates, if they weren't participating in the Infertility board around the time I started I would have no way of knowing they had gone through something similar.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: An alternative idea... place this 'IF & pregnant' board under the pregnancy dropdown so to be sensitive to current IF users. I think it could work. What do you think?
honeydew / 7916 posts
@bluestriped bee: Going to totally barge in here! Sometimes I wish there was a place for IF grads in general, because eventually we have those babies and the effects of IF go on.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@spaniellove: Barge away!! Love it when you pop in!!
Like a 'Parenting after IF' board?
I think 'Pregnancy after IF' or 'Pregnancy with IF' might be happening soon. Which one sounds better?
I love seeing IF grads, too!

@bluestriped bee: Sounds like a great idea! IF never truly goes away (well at least for me) so it would be nice to chat with other pregnant women who have been through similar treatments.
@Mrs.Pinecone316: Thanks. I'm about 70% better today. Yesterday was brutal, but today is manageable. I can get around, just sore. Scared to do another PIO on the left side now, though. We'll stick with the right side for a few days! Hope you are continuing to feel better from the OHSS!

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Yeah, that was quick! So glad Mrbee created it!

@bluestriped bee: I have become a POAS addict, LOL! I did get my BFP last Sunday and I had my positive beta today. I see that there is a new Pregnancy and IF board up, thanks for that idea! Good luck with your upcoming IVF cycle!
@Mrs.Pinecone316: thank you!

Hey Bees!
Gosh it's been a while. How great to come back to some BFPs! I ended up having a thorough dawdle on Instagram one afternoon and discovered the thriving infertility community there too, that's where I've been hanging out of late. (I'm @oh_no_ovaries if anyone fancies connecting there too )
A quick catch-up on my side, I'm all set for egg retrieval (17 follies on board) on Wednesday, embryo transfer on Monday and preggers test 19th Sept.
I felt a bit hysterical earlier haha.

@Robyn_ZA: That's lovely! How are you feeling? You're almost there!

@Robyn_ZA: Wow how exciting, lots going on for your right now! FX wednesday goes well!! I like going to #ivf hashtags and finding people to follow on instagram too but only have my personal account so I never post or comment, just watch quietly from the corner haha but I enjoy the infertility instagram community too!

I just want to say big thank you to all of you in this thread for putting your very real and personal IVF struggles out there. My very best friend in the whole world is just about to start her first IVF journey and reading your stories has helped me in trying to understand and support her a whole lot better as she struggles with her IF. I'm not sure that you would realise how much of a help you are- so I just wanted to comment to say thanks. Wishing those on their journey baby dust too and to those with recent BFPs the happiest and healthy 9 months xoxox

@Fliegepilzhut : I've been on such a low dose of injectables with my over-reactive ovaries that I've had pretty much zero symptoms, which initially made me rather nervous! RE said it's been a textbook perfect cycle thus far which he's very pleased about as it reiterates that he made the right call by going in very lightly with the stims. Can you believe I'm on track to have funds left and due for refund at the end of the cycle!
Stim wise I did Pergoveris alone (LH & FSH) 1x day for 5 days (CD3-7). U/s on CD8 showed 10 follies on the left ovary and 7 on the right - 3 were ahead of the others so I had Pergoveris and Cetrotide that day. CD9 u/s showed an average of 3mm growth, Pergs and Cetro again. Yesterday's CD10 u/s showed a further 3mm growth confirming us for Wed egg retrieval, Perg and Cetro done.
I did my first Lucrin at 10:30 pm last night and again at 10:30 this am in prep for tomorrow. I've been super nauseous and irritable since I woke up today which are basically my first shitty symptoms. I only had a mild bit of abdomen discomfort on CD6 last week and that was that. My RE said that given my body's reaction to these meds, I'll probably have a "morning sickness free pregnancy which will make me worry more" haha.
Progesterone bloods came back fine today, so we're officially set for a fresh transfer on Monday. I was surprised to see the preg blood test on my schedule for the 19th which would be 11 days post transfer. I don't think I'm going to have the guts to POAS before then!

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Thanks so much!
I made a new account just for my IVF rambles after stalking a few people myself haha

@bunnylove: You're welcome. And she's more than welcome to come join us! This has been a life-saver for me, at times...
@Robyn_ZA: That's great! Most people seem to feel quite a lot better a day or so after retrieval. I'm sending lots of good thoughts your way! Please keep us in updates!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@Robyn_ZA: Added you on IG. I'm terrym*******. So you have a personal account and a IVF account? I don't know if i can keep two accounts straight. Haha. I'm fairly open with IF on my personal account.
I'm back from Labor day weekend. It was a good weekend. No IVF updates from me, which is why I'm laying low on this thread.
Question for you all. It might just be me, but have you seen people complain about us (people with infertility) and the hormones that we have to be put on and how we can be hormonal and maybe moody about others that get pregnant? But yet, it seems like people who get pregnant are given a pass because of their pregnancy hormones? Aren't the hormones the same? Why are pregnant woman allow to be hormonal and given a pass at being that way but those of us put on drugs for IUIs and IVF, don't have the same courtesy. People blame it on us for having IF bitterness or something else.
Sorry, just venting. This has been on my mind for at least a week now. My pregnant sister can be all hormonal but yet, the one with IF, has to keep my sanity around her. It's so annoying. Why? Why? Why? Is it because I'm not bearing a child?

Feeling terrified and can't stop crying. We had our 6w4d scan this morning and were shocked when we saw two sacs!! My betas haven't been high so we were expecting just one so to see that was something! Then there weren't any heartbeats. The ultrasound tech said neither were centered inside the sac so it could be too soon to see anything, but my husband and I are so worried and sad. I go back in two days for another scan. I'll be one day shy of 7 weeks then.
pear / 1556 posts
@Jenn23: Oh Jenn! Hopefully it was just too early to see anything! 6w4d seems pretty early to me! I am very hopeful that your little babies will be just fine! HUGS!!!
persimmon / 1085 posts
@Sunshine1810: Thank you. We met with the RE afterwards and he congratulated us on twins, but then went on to say things like, "It's all in God's hands" and "don't stop your meds" when we questioned the lack of heartbeats. I finally asked him what are our chances with at least one making it and he did say 80%. Then why mention stopping meds?! Oh, one measured a week behind and the other 2 days behind. So the 2day behind baby is the one that he said we have a much better chance of having success with. He wanted me to wait a week to come back and I said I could NOT wait that long. He said, "There's nothing you can do" like waiting a week isn't a big deal. Um, that would be the longest week of my life!!! So I said I want to come back sooner so he said OK. The whole thing is just so upsetting.
pear / 1556 posts
@Jenn23: Ugh I wish doctors wouldn't say things that way. 80% is GREAT odds and if had just stopped there you would probably feel much better than you do now! I honestly don't think doctors realize how we hang on every little word they say during this process. I think it is very important that he let you come back sooner just for your own peace of mind. Being stressed out during your pregnancy isn't good either obviously, and I don't think he wants that. You and the babies are in my thoughts and prayers! I am very very hopeful!!!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@Jenn23: Oh, no! How exciting then scary. I have no idea how early you can have a heartbeat but hoping that it's too soon and you'll see them in a few days.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@Jenn23: FX for good news in a couple of days! I'm so sorry you're going through this stress...and that your doctor couldn't be more reassuring. Hang in there, lady!
persimmon / 1316 posts
@Jenn23: I just replied on the other threat but sending you lots of love I know this wait is going to be so hard but hoping it gives the babies the time they need to catch up. I have read so many stories of twins measuring behind and catching up. I know it is scary, hang in there!

@bluestriped bee: Thanks! And I appreciate you getting us our own little spot on the boards
@Jenn23: I'm sorry that your ultrasound was so stressful. I'm glad you have a follow up scheduled and FX things will be looking better by then. My RE likes to always wait until 7 weeks plus for the first ultrasound.
ETA: Sorry for any typos, at the cottage got the week and on my phone

Thanks, all! Such a horrible feeling waiting to see a heartbeat(s). I'm a little better today than yesterday, but still so worried and scared. Thank you for the support!
