Looks like the next 3 weeks are going to be active!! Good luck to you all! I'll be thinking about you and checking in!
@PurplePumps: April and May are going to fly by for you! Have fun, especially in Europe!!

Thank you!! Seems it will be a little active. We go tomorrow for our "training" and calendar. We should start lupron Monday.

@PurplePumps: Glad to hear that you are going to be keeping really busy over the next few weeks! I'm really pulling for you this cycle. Hopefully they have really figured out the right combo/dosage of meds for you and that will do the trick for sure!! It may sound crazy, but I think we are transferring 3 this time. Since the frosties we have left aren't graded very high, and we've already had two failures with 2 transferred each time, and since I'm 37 both my doc and the one doing my outside monitoring locally think 3 is a viable option.
@jaguar: Wow! We could be transferring around the same time! Yay!! Here's to trying to keep the spirits up!!
@MrsYellowJacket: Exciting!! So glad there are a few of us! Wishing you all the best! Good luck starting in on the Lupron on Monday.
@momazon: Hi! Waiting, waiting… so hard! But glad to hear you have a plan to try again soon! Remind me, are you going to try donor eggs or donor embryos? I suggested to my husband that we might consider donor embryos instead of another fresh cycle if this FET doesn't work out… but I don't know anything about it really.
@FliegepilzHut: as always! Hope you are doing great!
@raintreebee: So exciting and I hope that it only takes one round this time! How old is your LO?
@bluestriped bee: I hope you are doing well!!

@GreenThumb: We'll be doing donor eggs. At my age (I just turned 38) with multiple failures and losses behind me, I just think it's the logical next step for us. I've certainly given my own eggs enough chances! I'll be learning as I go
along, I'm sure! It feels like a fresh start for us, which we really need after the struggles of the last few years. Hopefully this next FET will work for you, but feel free to ask me any questions if they pop in your head about the donor process!

@MrsYellowJacket: Good luck with the training! The Lupron needles are really tiny and not bad at all! Lupron did give me headaches, though, so just a heads up in case you happen to not feel at your best! Bet you're excited to get your full schedule!

@GreenThumb: Wow. I hope there's a BFP in there for you this cycle!
@momazon: Holy cow, are you still on vacation?? I'm going to be looking for a full vacation recap with pictures from you!
I'm just going to take BC until the next cycle at this point so I can control AF around my vacation. But my period is SUPPPPER light right now... is that normal? Much lighter than when I was on BC before, and I'm pretty sure it'll only end up lasting like 36-48 hours.
kiwi / 613 posts
@PurplePumps: Haha, nope, we've been back from vacation for nearly a month! But our house flooded terribly (burst pipe) while we were gone so we are living in a hotel and will be for the next 2-3 months while they fix our house. Eeeeks! Such a fabulous vacation, though.
I feel like my BCP periods vary a lot, sometimes quite scant, other times normal to heavy. Yay to having the ability to avoid it on vacation, though!

@momazon: Oooh shooot! That stinks! Sorry you had to deal with that after getting back from your trip! That actually happened to us when we were away for a month too! Luckily my parents had been stopping by to check on the house and turned off the water before it got too bad, we ended up just having to replace a large portion of dry wall. After that first hard lesson, we always shut off the water whenever we go away now, even if it's just a long weekend.

How's it all going, cycling friends? I'm feeling like a total loner over here. Everyone else around me is pregnant or just had a newborn, and I'm still sitting here hoping for a miracle.
pear / 1986 posts
@jaguar: I'm still here, too! I have a lining check tomorrow morning and then we are hopefully on schedule for FET next Friday! I'm sure you can sympathize that it is a little hard to get excited at this stage in the game. I'm hopeful, but… we'll see. How are things with you? Any updates?
@MrsYellowJacket: How are things going for you? Lupron going ok?
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@GreenThumb: I totally understand! We're still waiting on Ovulation here, so no transfer for a while for me yet. I wish I was on a HRT cycle so I could just have lining scan & boom, transfer 5 days later...
pear / 1986 posts
@jaguar: Bummer about waiting for O this time around. But it will happen! What CD are you on? How often do you have to go in for checks?
I had my lining check this morning and we are on track for next week. And as a side note the doc said I have a good number of follicles, so that is good news if we have to go the fresh route again I guess.

@GreenThumb: yay! FX for next week.
Just found out my husbands business trip got delayed 2 weeks. I didn't have to skip out on trying this month after all.. pretty pissed about this.

Joining! My LO is 21 months. We had three embryos left over from her cycle and did two transfers this winter that did not work. I started my meds this week for a fresh cycle, and I have to say it is kicking my butt already! I didn't have any side effects when we did this before and this time around I have horrible headaches wishing you all good luck wherever you are in your journey!

So I am just de-lurking here... I am doing one more clomid cycle this cycle (this time with TI instead of IUI) and then if it doesn't work, we are moving on to IVF next cycle. I have DOR and am 37. We have a DS who is 2 and have gotten pregnant 2 other times and lost it early on, presumably due to egg quality since they have tested for everything else. We have been accepted into a clinical trial for a generic Gonal F. Because it is a study, it is very strict. I can't do acupuncture or use supplements, we don't have any leeway to make changes to the protocol, etc. It isn't super aggressive and it is a long protocol. They have to transfer 2 embryos. It is, however, very cheap-- it will cost a total of $3500 including meds. And we have no ins. coverage.
I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing. It sounds so drastic. And difficult. And my DH is paranoid about twins. Since we already have one, and just wanted one more, it is a concern. But then again, at my age, with my poor eggs, it also is less likely. Any words of wisdom for someone just heading down this road?

De lurking to join here as well (just joined the if board too). @brady80 we almost have the same story! I have a 22month old from a fresh ivf, and had three frozen blasts left over. we've now used all three without success. I am just in a holding pattern waiting for my body to go back to normal after my d&e from the last unsuccessful transfer. Eagerly wishing away the time so we can get started with a fresh cycle and hate that there is nothing I can do to speed things up!

@GreenThumb: CD15 and nothing happening at all yet. Bloods every other day.
@PurplePumps: GAH! So frustrating.
@brady80: Good luck on this newest freshy. x
@travellingbee: I think that a cheaper trial option is really cool. Wish we had that here. Do you know what dose it's going to be? Could be a bit risky for a first cycle, since they don't know how you'll respond to the drugs.
@bloved: Another lot of good luck to you too!
You guys remind me of myself... we had two frosties (both took, both ended in miscarriage) and had to prep for a new stim cycle which we did last year. I'm currently using the frosties from that cycle now. Getting SO frustrated!

I just wanted to share that DH and I secured an egg donor. If everything goes as planned her retrieval will be scheduled in June. I'm hoping this will work out for us.
Thinking positive thoughts for everyone else on here .

@winter_wonder: that's great news! Congratulations! Keeping fingers crossed for you.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@jaguar: I dont know the starting dose but I think it's conservative and they still can increase or decrease as needed.
pear / 1986 posts
@PurplePumps: Sorry to hear about his trip being cancelled! Of course after all that debate, right?
@jaguar: Come on O! I'm hoping so much that things move along for you so you can transfer soon!!
@bloved: Welcome! I also have a 22 month old from an FET. We've done 2 FETs since with a chemical and no luck, and are heading into our 3 FET on Friday. I really hope that your fresh cycle does the trick like the first time for you!! I know the waiting can be so tough - its the worst!
@winter_wonder: Fantastic news about your egg donor!
@travellingbee: I don't have any advice, but I just wanted to wish you so much luck! I'm sure because it is a trial you will be monitored very closely so that is great on your first fresh cycle. Hope that does the trick!
AFM: Last Lupron on Sat and started PIO last night. We are traveling on Thursday and transfer is on Friday. I'm going to do acupuncture before and after on the day of the transfer, which I am really excited about. I haven't done that since my successful FET, so it can't hurt! Everyone agrees that we are transferring 3 (wait, don't think I'm crazy!). The embryo quality isn't very good on any of them, so honestly I don't think there is an overwhelming chance of success no matter how many we transfer. But that being said, we'll see in two weeks! Beta will be on the 27th.

@winter_wonder: That's great news! June is right around the corner!
@travellingbee: That sounds like a really good opportunity if you have to try IVF. Is IVF what sounds drastic? Or the trial in general? I hope you get the outcome you want!
@GreenThumb: Good luck! FX your miracle baby(s) is in that group of 3!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@PurplePumps: IVF. Drastic probably isn't the right word. But it is so much more intense than clomid and IUI. I was just kind of overwhelmed by the whole process.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@travellingbee: Ah, yeah, that makes sense. It's a big step invasively and monetarily. After a while though, it all seems the same to me. lol. 5 pills of Clomid, wait, IUI, wait....~14 days of injections, retrieve, transfer, wait... try something, wait, wait some more...
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@GreenThumb: Exciting! I hope you have a miracle in there. Our clinic won't even transfer two, so three is mind-blowing!
@travellingbee: It is drastic. But you can do it! Lots of support here. x
@PurplePumps: I hear you on the waiting. Boo!
I have a feeling they're going to cancel another one of my FET cycles.... I'm just not ovulating.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@jaguar: I'm totally ignorant here so sorry if this is a dumb question... they can't do a low level stim like femara to get you to ovulate?
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@jaguar: oh well that just sucks!!! Have they triggered you?
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@travellingbee: Nope, because no scan yet... we need to know if there's anything to trigger (empty ovaries, or a cyst, means they won't trigger) - so we wait and see what today's blood says.
kiwi / 613 posts
@jaguar: Good luck today with the bloodwork! Sounds like the more natural cycle FETs require so much more patience than the ones with the Lupron/estrogen/progesterone injections. Fingers crossed for you that you don't get delayed another cycle!
kiwi / 613 posts
@GreenThumb: Best wishes for a fantastic result on Friday... and hoping for not too much torture during the TWW!
kiwi / 613 posts
@winter_wonder: Excellent news about the donor match! We are gearing up for one as well, hopefully next month. I'm ever so hopeful this will be the magic difference you and I both need to bring our babies to us. If you ever need to talk, please do reach out.

@travellingbee: So amazing about being accepted into the clinical trial!!!! What a fortunate way to get started with IVF, a little friendlier to your pocket thank goodness! I have an almost-niece born from one of those IVF clinical trials!

@brady80: @bloved: Welcome (I'm a little late)! Looking forward to reading your updates and cheering you on over the coming weeks.
persimmon / 1114 posts
@momazon: @GreenThumb: @jaguar: thanks for the welcome.
@GreenThumb: Wishing you lots of luck with the transfer on Friday! Do you test early, or wait for the beta? Either way I hope the wait is not too bad!
@jaguar: fingers crossed you get good news at your scan today. I hate all the waiting we have to do as part of this process.
As for me, ivf is seeming still so far off. Yesterday was one month since my d&e and my body is showing no signs of regulating. I had a bleed two weeks afterward but my re said that was not a new cycle. In the meantime, I've been doing opks and they got dark, but never positive, and now they are lighter again. I am worried by body was trying to ovulate and wasn't able to. My last transfer was in January, and we found out the pregnancy wasn't viable in February, so I just feel like we are doing so much waiting....
