@GreenThumb: those look beautiful! Good luck to you!
@brady80: sorry, I can't remember how long I stimmed for...nine still seems decent. Is your doctor concerned?
kiwi / 589 posts
@bloved: my nurse said "it's not a race" so I'm guessing they are ok with the pace. It's just frustrating because the cycle I conceived my daughter I was on a higher dose and stimmed less, but we have since switched clinics and I'm on the highest dose at this clinic (but not as high as I was before). Just hoping it all works out!

@FliegepilzHut: that's what I'm hoping. Think I will know more after tomorrow's appointment

@GreenThumb: Congrats on the transfer! Wishing you tons of patience in the next few days!!!!!

@jaguar: Lefty looks beautiful! Hoping that this one sticks and brings you all the happiness you've been working towards. I know the next few days are going to be rough, so wishing they go by as quickly as possible for you.

@brady80: Mine varied by a few days across my six cycles- my nurse normally wrote the prescription for at least 12 days of stims, from what I recall. Nine measurable follicles sounds good so far- did they say what size they were already? Fingers crossed! I've heard slow and steady are good- were your follicles about the same sizes, or was there a clear lead?

@jaguar: Wishing you so much luck!! It's a beautiful Day 3!
@GreenThumb: 3?!?! Holy moly! Fingers crossed so hard!
persimmon / 1259 posts
@brady80: I went slow and steady and it was a successful cycle for us! We only retrieved 9 eggs, 7 fertilized, we transferred one ( ), and have 4 frozen! Keep the faith, 13 days of stims worked for us!

I'm just catching up on a couple weeks of posts...I was on vacation. So good luck to everyone using this cycle!

@jaguar: thank you! I almost wish I didn't have the notes from my last clinic to compare this cycle to! Wishing you lots of luck this cycle. I have a feeling that embryo is going to be a fighter and stick around for good

@PurplePumps: @bloved: @FliegepilzHut: @momazon: @sarahnicole218: Thanks ladies! I might wait until my beta on the 27th to find out, but ask me again next weekend
@brady80: You are in the home stretch! As everyone else said, slow and steady definitely gives you the best results. Wishing you the best of luck - it won't be long now!

@GreenThumb: How are you feeling?
@brady80: Comparing is the WORST! You've got this... hang in there. My longest stims made better embies, for what it's worth. My last cycle (antag) was the quickest, and has given me the least results.

@GreenThumb: @jaguar: thank you! Got the call today that I will be triggering tomorrow night with my retrieval on Thursday!

@brady80: Yay! Enjoy your injection-free day! And here's wishing you a great retrieval!!!

@brady80: Fantastic! Excited for you for Thursday!!
@jaguar: I'm good, trying to stay busy and not obsess (right!). Feeling a bit crampy and bloated yesterday and today but writing it off as the darn progesterone. How are you doing? When is your beta scheduled? Will you test at home?

Our retrieval went well, we got 13 eggs 9 of which fertilized naturally and as of our 5 day transfer (yesterday) we still had all 9 left (8 after the single transfer, hoping to freeze!) The doctor didn't ask us if we wanted 1 or 2 and we did a transfer of 1 - 4AA embryo..i'm now wishing i did two..
@brady80 - hope your retrieval goes well.
pear / 1986 posts
@Mermaidri: Sounds like everything went amazing! 4AA is fantastic! I bet that little embie is all you need. And 8 leftover is wonderful news. Congrats!
persimmon / 1114 posts
@Mermaidri: wow! 4aa is an awesome rating and that is a great number to freeze! Wishing you lots of continued luck!

@GreenThumb: My clinic doesn't do betas, so just pee sticks here. I honestly don't know when to test. It's hard to be positive when this is it.. we have no more left. I'd feel more confident if it was a blasty transfer.

Need some advice. My clinic called today to see if we would be interested in participating in a study using "non-invasive, time-lapse imaging of embryos during undisturbed incubation that detects critical and subtle differences in cell division" Basically, they film the embryos and choose which one to transfer based on how it looked as it grew. If we decide to participate we will be randomly placed in one of three groups:
1) Day 3 embryo transfer with selection of embryo by the Eeva System and traditional morphology
2) Day 5 embryo transfer with selection of embryo by the Eeva System and traditional morphology
3) Day 5 embryo transfer with selection of embryo by traditional morphology only
What do you guys think?

@brady80: Ive heard some really promising things about those time-lapse imaging machines!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@brady80: I would ABSOLUTELY do this!!! I've always wished my clinic provided this. They can learn SO much from it.
kiwi / 589 posts
@momazon: @jaguar: it sounds like it couldn't hurt, except I don't like that I could be placed in the three day transfer group. Do you think that could be detrimental?
pear / 1986 posts
@jaguar: No beta, huh? Who am I kidding, I've always tested at home first anyway . I really think that Day 3 will surprise you and be a winner. It looked so good!
@brady80: I haven't heard anything about this type of imaging, but it sounds like it could be really great and give you a lot of good info. I'm sure they will be watching you really closely no matter which group you end up in.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@brady80: That sounds amazing! I would probably go for it! BTW-- some clinics actually prefer a Day#3 transfer...did they mention whether they would require you to transfer 1 or 2 for the study?
@Mermaidri: Wonderful news! FX hard for you!!!
@GreenThumb: FX that your blasties are getting good and comfy!
@jaguar: You have a lovely embryo! FX so hard that this is the one!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@brady80: No advice there, since I'm currently in the middle of a 3-day transfer!
@GreenThumb: I just have nothing, no symptoms, nothing. Really scary.
@FliegepilzHut: Thanks chick. I really, really hope so. x
persimmon / 1114 posts
@brady80: that sounds like an awesome opportunity! I know I have said it before, but at this point I have had one day 3 transfer and two day 6 blast transfers and the only one that worked was a day 3. So I definitely don't think a day 3 is bad!
kiwi / 589 posts
@jaguar: @bloved: I've only ever done 3 day transfers as well, and had success with them.
@FliegepilzHut:the study requires SET, my insurance only allows for SET for the first round of a fresh cycle
pear / 1986 posts
@jaguar: Hang in there - it is so early! I wish I were more optimistic on my end, too. It is very hard after all this time and experience to stay hopeful, so I'm expecting the worst and just keeping a little hope alive. We'll know very soon!
persimmon / 1259 posts
@brady80: It sounds awesome! Also, good luck tomorrow!!
@Mermaidri: Holy cow, that's amazing! Praying for some great frosties! Also, our doc didn't ask us if we wanted to transfer 2...I think because it was our first go at IVF, they always just do one the first time. Fx for you!
kiwi / 589 posts
@FliegepilzHut: you have to do a single embryo transfer, which we would be doing anyway because our insurance only covers SET for the first transfer of a fresh cycle
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@GreenThumb: I know, that's true. When will you test at home? A girl in my fertility centre support group just got a BFP from a day-2 embryo, which gave me a glimmer of hope.
pear / 1531 posts
@brady80: I've heard great things about those machines too. Did you decide to do it?
I am on day 5 of stimming and starting to feel dragged down by the meds. Nothing major. Just sluggish. I assume I am about halfway through since my prior two rounds involved 10 days of stimming.
