@momazon: I guess the next step is to have the surgery because this doctor seems very confident in his 3d machine for the diagnosis. And if I really do have a septum, that would explain (hopefully) some of the lack of success we've had. The surgery coordinator was supposed to call me yesterday, but of course they didn't, so today I am going to try and track people down for more answers.

@bloved: I'm so sorry! That would be incredibly frustrating. I know there are ladies on the 'Bee that have gone through this surgery... Hopefully you will get the answers you need and be able to proceed quickly!

@bloved: How frustrating! Is there a timeframe after the surgery as to when you can get going? *hugs*
I pick up drugs for our next cycle tomorrow. I just want to get GOING!!

@jaguar: That's great that you picked up the drugs and you're able to move forward with another fresh cycle!!! Fingers crossed that this one brings you your next little one! Do you have an approx timeline yet, for how long your other testing will take and when you can start your stims, etc?

@jaguar: FX that you can get started soon and have a GREAT cycle!!!

They started me jabbing today, decided on a short cycle with no birth control.... so let's get prodding.

@jaguar: that's great that you are getting started!!
@jaguar: @FliegepilzHut: so I was able to talk to the doctor a little more today. It sounds like we are going to do the surgery may 26. But amazingly enough, the doctor says this does not need to delay my cycle. I don't quite believe it, but it looks like we are still on for an early June retrieval and transfer!

@bloved: That's good news they don't expect it to delay your cycle !
@jaguar: happy for you!! Glad you get to move forward!!

@jaguar: so glad you can move on!
@bloved: that's awesome you can move right on. Nothing worse than just killing time in the infertility world.
My betas doubled. Went from 62 at 8dp5dt to 153 two days later. We feel so lucky.

@raintreebee: Woohoo! Off to a brilliant start. x
@bloved: So glad to hear this! We all know how hard the waiting can be, so I'm thrilled for you.

So cycle may be a bust after all. Realized tonight that I am supposed to start my Lupron tomorrow but they never arranged to have my meds shipped! I've called the office, but I don't hold out much hope because they have been terrible with communication (I am still waiting for a call back from Friday about my surgery and no word. Whenever I call I only get a machine). So frustrated!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@bloved: You might try and see if your RE's office can call in an order to a local pharmacy...OR call the specialty pharmacy they sent your prescription to and see if they can overnight them!!! In the meantime, keep taking your BCP's! I hope they can get you your meds quickly!

@bloved: Oh no! Fingers crossed you can sort something out and not have to be delayed. x

I'm back from Europe!! For a day. We're off again tomorrow for a week, and I start Lupron the second we're back. Hoping to start stims around June 6 and ER around the 20th.

Just catching up on everyone's news!
@raintreebee: Yay for doubling! How are you holding up? Good luck for Friday!!
@bloved: Were you able to get the Lupron and get started? One day can't make too much of a difference, right? Are you still on for your procedure on the 26th?
@PurplePumps: Welcome back! Glad you have a good timeline- there are several of us now in June!
As for me, I go in tomorrow for my lining check. Our donor is in the midst of her stims and they saw a bunch of follicles on her first monitoring visit, so things are still looking positive for transfer by June 1st. Getting so close!
@jaguar: you and I might end up being transfer twins this time, since I think our donor started stims around the same time as you. Fingers crossed for both of us!
apricot / 378 posts
@bloved: Oh, I hope your meds worked out!!
@PurplePumps: hope it was fun!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@momazon: That is brilliant! I'm not sure of dates yet, monitoring scan isn't until next Monday. But either way, it'll be good to have someone close by us in dates. I'm just desperate for a fresh transfer this time around. Can't handle more heartbreak with frosties!

@FliegepilzHut: @jaguar: @momazon: @MrsYellowJacket: Thanks for the support ladies. In a somewhat surprising turn, I actually decided to just cancel everything (surgery and ivf). This new doctor was horrible with communication, and between that and the forgotten meds, it just was feeling rushed and not sitting right with me. On top of that, I had called my general OB to get her advice since she had done my c-section, and she also felt the surgery was not necessary and recommended a new doctor! So, I am really bummed not to be delaying the IVF, but hopeful that this new doctor will be a better fit. But now I am thinking I will be cycling July the soonest...
@jaguar: fx for a fresh cycle for you.
@momazon: hope you had a good lining check. June 1 is so close!!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@bloved: Just wanted to say "good for you" for trusting your gut!!! Life is way too short and the extra stress/doubt can't be good during an IVF cycle! I hope you have a much better experience with your new doc!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@momazon: June 1st is so soon!!! Feeling very excited for you!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@bloved: I think that's a very smart choice. Having a doctor who you trust (especially with such an important surgery) is massive. x
Girls, I need you to talk me off the ledge... I am SO nervous for Monday's scan! The last time we did an antagonist cycle, the transfer was cancelled and we had to freeze everything because of high progesterone. I'm so scared the same thing is going to happen again this time!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@jaguar: I know it's cliche, but one day at a time! FX SO HARD for you after all you've been through!!!
apricot / 378 posts
@bloved: Always need to go with your gut!! Glad your exploring other opinions...
@jaguar: I agree with @FliegepilzHut: 24 hours at a time!! This is not for the faint of hearts and requires so much patience good luck on Monday!!!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@FliegepilzHut: & @MrsYellowJacket: I hear you girls, it's the only way - I know it's all out of my control, you'd think I would be more zen this time, but seriously.. I just feel like there's so much more at stake this time around!
persimmon / 1259 posts
@jaguar: I am thinking about you!! Fx for a weekend full of patience and grace...Monday will be here in no time!
persimmon / 1114 posts
@FliegepilzHut: @jaguar: @MrsYellowJacket: thanks for the support ladies! Of course I've had some "what are you crazy for starting over!?" Moments but overall I feel like I am making the right decision. I have a consult with a new doctor today so hopefully will get good news!
@jaguar: I think only natural to be stressed...I swear infertility causes ptsd...but just try to take it one day at a time and distract yourself as much as possible in the meantime!
kiwi / 613 posts
@bloved: Sounds like you made a really good decision. It sucks to have to wait, but it's so important to have a doctor you trust and feel comfortable with. I think you'll have a couple of cycle twins in July, haven't some people on this thread mentioned some possible transfers then?
@raintreebee: Thinking of you and hoping everything went smoothly today!
We're still trucking ahead, looking forward to the next couple of weeks. My lining looked good, and my donor is doing well with follicles measuring between 10-14 right now.
@jaguar: Fingers crossed for a fresh transfer for you!!! If your numbers are too high again and you need to do a freeze-all, did you say they'd try to grow them out to blastocysts for you this time instead of freezing right away, or is that not really done there?
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@Miss Sarah: I'm doing my best! We had a backyard picnic with the three of us (and the dog) haha and it was a good way to take the stress off.
@momazon: I'm requesting that they grow them this time. It's against clinic protocol and I'll have a fight on my hands, but I will do my best to get them grown. Just so I know what I'm working with, you know?
I'm on day 9 of stims and starting to feel uncomfortable...
kiwi / 613 posts
@jaguar: Hope you're not feeling too too uncomfortable by now with the stims! Only one more day till you get to see your follicles, right?
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@momazon: Yes! Pretty uncomfy while peeing, lol... but that's par for the course this far along with the jabs. Tomorrow morning is our scan to check on these follies. I'm not sure what I'm more nervous for - the scan itself (too many/too few/etc) or the bloods to check progesterone. This is where it all went pear shaped last time!
That said, I went to bed with a mantra last night: fresh transfer, healthy blastocyst. Fresh transfer, healthy blastocyst. That's my goal!
kiwi / 613 posts
@jaguar: Love the mantra! I know doctors are getting great results with frozen transfers (even better than fresh sometimes), but it would just be so hard for me to have to wait so long for a transfer after the retrieval! (Even if it was the best plan for success and of course I'd do it, I just hate waiting around.)
