@NorthStar: I have an ultrasound Tuesday (CD12). So I guess if things do look like I might ovulate sooner, I could trigger that night and do the IUI Thursday. That would make work complicated for both of us and I really want him to be there, but it would be better than missing out window.

@AmeliaBedilia: yeah, they will stay on top of it, but it's so hard to say when your iui will be. My husband is never able to be at actual procedure. Not ideal, but it's so hard missing a lot of work

@YogiRunner: lurking here because I'm feeling a bit private about my ivf cycle, but wanted to say congrats!! I'm so happy for you!!

@jaguar: Congrats on controlled progesterone levels!! I'm so excited for you to proceed with egg retrieval. Good job, lady!
@YogiRunner: CONGRATULATIONS!! That is a seriously positive pregnancy test! Your morning feet in the picture was really cute and will make for sweet memories. Please let know how the beta goes. Did you transfer one or two embryos?

@AmeliaBedilia: When I did my two IUI cycles, they were nothing like a normal cycle. I ovulated based on the trigger and it was days earlier than I would normally ovulate. Are you doing injectible stim meds?

@MrsKRB: I get wanting to feel private about IVF. I'm insanely private about my IVF cycle in real life. I just like to blab about it on hellobee. Please talk about it here if you want. I'm dying to talk about it with someone.

@YogiRunner: and @jaguar: Thank you for your encouraging words. I was having a day of panic. But I'm back! And so excited. I sorted out the meds. My HSS procedure went great this morning and my IVF cycle is starting! Woo hoo!

@NorthStar: Hi! It wasn't painful, per se. It felt like the IUI. Maybe a pinch and a pull and a little awkward discomfort. But I feel fine right afterwards and am now at work no problems. It cost me $140. So it was definitely covered by my insurance and that was a co-pay. Thank god. Also, I must have garnered some sympathy at my doctor's office because they gave me some follistim and the leuprolide for free! Phew. I'll take any cost breaks I can.

@agold: oh wow! wonderful on both fronts! Certainly cannot pass up free meds I'm assuming that I'll have to have a similar procedure once I get closer to IVF, so I was curious on how it felt. I typically barely feel my IUI's, so it's good to know

@agold: so glad it wasn't painful and yay for free meds! How exciting that you are getting started!!
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@NorthStar: Yep. I barely felt it. The purpose of the test was because I am requesting to do a fresh embryo transfer, the doctor wanted to see how my uterus looked. Easy peasy. Hopefully you won't need IVF, though. Your in the midst of an IUI cycle, right?

@bloved: Thank you so much! I am really excited! I think my stoic husband is also excited!

@agold: yeah, I have a few more days until I POAS. I'm holding out until Monday or Tuesday because that is when I'm expecting AF. I'm sick of seeing BFN.

@NorthStar: I stopped testing around on my second IUI. I sort of threw in the towel there and just went back to having sex for fun. It for sure gets exhausting to keep taking pregnancy tests. But I'm holing onto lots of hope for you!!

@bloved @momazon @ms.line @jaguar @mrsyellowjacket @northstar @ameliabedilia @mrskrb @agold:
Thank you so much girls, your support means the world. You guys understand more than anyone the pain of IF and the difficulty of treatment. No one else truly "gets it". I so appreciate you!
So... my beta is 457. Thrilled, but seems a bit high for 10dp5dt, no? (We only transferred one blasty).
@ameliabedilia: I agree with others that if you’re being monitored closely, which it sounds like you are, I wouldn’t worry too much about timing. The Ovidrel will make you ovulate appx 36 hours after taking it. I also triggered different days for all three IUIs.
@mrskrb: I totally understand wanting to stay quiet… but please know that I have been thinking of you! Wishing you all the very best and do pop back in whenever you’re ready/have questions about the process.
@northstar: I will be thinking of you over the weekend lady.

@YogiRunner: whoa, I'm late to the party! That is one helluva line. Super exciting! Congrats!

@YogiRunner: Wow! That is a really good strong beta number! What is your one embryo split?!?!?! I'm so excited for you! When do you go back for your next test?
persimmon / 1114 posts
@YogiRunner: that is a great number! It is high for one blast, but high is good!! Congrats again!

@NorthStar: Hey chick! I was on Lucrin for the last three weeks & added stims in last Thursday - so today is day 10 of stims, and I'm done - just trigger tonight and that's it til EPU!
@YogiRunner: Wowsers, that is a crazy number! Congrats again. My hcg was always low, with Georgia & with the two losses, so I've never seen a number that high so early!!
Thanks ladies for your excitement about our okay cycle so far - it sounds crazy to have done multiple IVF rounds and still be so excited about getting to EPU - but after having cycle after cycle cancelled, or converted to freeze alls, this one is worth celebrating!!!! Next hurdle... how many eggs and whether they freeze!
We aren't hoping for high numbers (I'm guessing maybe 6?) but we are hoping for quality.

@jaguar: Do you know right now, even before your egg retrieval, that your body is okay to go forward with a fresh embryo transfer?
nectarine / 2192 posts
@YogiRunner: Wow! Great beta! Excited to hear the next one. I wonder if the embryo split.
@jaguar: sending prayers for an awesome egg retrieval.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@agold: Yep! They base their assumptions and decisions off the scan combined with the BT - in previous cycles, my progesterone level spiked too early (cut off was 5 pre-EPU - mine was 5.3/6.3) so they already knew that a fresh transfer was out. They also look at E2 levels and if they're scary high, they will sometimes cancel a fresh transfer to minimise the risk of OHSS.
This cycle, both my P4 and E2 are under control and nice & average - so provided we have some good fertilisation and an embryo to transfer, we should get our fresh this time!!
@AmeliaBedilia: Thank you hon! How are you tracking along? Has monitoring started yet?

@jaguar: I'm so happy things are moving in a positive direction! I think I got confused since you are in aus and the med names are different

@jaguar: CD8 here. I'm doing femara CD5-9, with ultrasound CD12. I'm a little worried the IUI will be too late. Last cycle I did femara CD2-6, and IUI was CD13 (he gave us the option of 12 or 13, but 13 worked better schedule-wise). I've been googling whether taking femara later pushes back ovulation, and whether ovidrel always makes O 36ish hours after. (If you're going to O CD13, but you take ovidrel night of CD12, then does it push O back to CD14? Sorry, it's all enough to make someone crazy.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Hmmm, not sure, I always did Femara days 2-6! But then I don't ovulate on my own and it STILL took forever (day 20-21) to get peak readings.
I believe you ovulate 36-38 hours after Ovidrel, so you would probably be okay! (I take Ovidrel as a trigger for all my cycles, whether monitored or IVF - and they push my egg collection to 38 hours post Ovidrel, and I've not ovulated sooner than that before.)

@jaguar: hanging in there. Trying not to chase worry...but it is so hard after having been burned before. distraction has been key! So glad you get to trigger and get your fresh cycle in!
pear / 1881 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: they don't do it based on when they expect you to O, but when the follicle(s) are at the right size. They know what they are doing, so try to relax and trust it!!! Hang in there!
pear / 1881 posts
@jaguar: yay!!! Everything seems so different this cycle, so hoping this is it for you!!

Just had a big bleed. I have a call into the on-call doctor, but it is not looking good. I cannot believe I am facing my third miscarriage since my son. So gutted.

@bloved: I'm so, so sorry you're going through this. Life is so unfair sometimes. Sending hugs and prayers.

@bloved: Fingers crossed that this is just a bump in the road - am crossing everything I have for you. x

Omg! I got a reprieve. despite extremely heavy bleeding last night (tmi but multiple pads full) I went to the doctor today for us/bw. You guys...they saw a heartbeat!!! Apparently I have a subchronic bleed, but the doctor says its position should not affect the pregnancy. I am so shocked and overwhelmed and grateful and, of course, still concerned. But overall so grateful to still have a chance. @AmeliaBedilia: @Amorini: @jaguar: thank you so much for the positive thoughts and prayers.
