Just got back from our scan. Baby measured 7w1d exactly like I calculated, but with no heartbeat.
D&C is on Wednesday.
How long did it take for you guys to get pregnant again after a m/c? I am closing in on 38 so obviously devastated.

Aww, I'm so sorry :(. I had a CP, but I was being treated by an RE and got pregnant 3 months later.

@JoJoGirl: Oh gosh, I am so sorry. I got pregnant with my son the cycle after my D&C. So, I had my D&C August 11, had my first AF September 24th and got pregnant that cycle. Wishing you peace.

@JoJoGirl: Oh no. I am so sorry to hear this
With my first mc, I got pregnant the second cycle afterwards. This time, I'm currently in my second cycle post-mc, so time will tell.

Ugh so sorry! I had a miscarriage in June of 2011. Starting trying again in September, got pregnant in October. Had a beautiful baby girl in July 2012. Good luck with the D&C. You're not alone.

I am so so sorry for your loss.
I didn't have a D&C, I miscarried naturally in Dec of 2013. I got my next BFP from my May 2015 cycle, and am currently almost 10 weeks pregnant.

So sorry for your loss I had a D&C in early November and started trying right away. We got a BFP in early Feb. Hope that it happens quickly for you.

Oh no, I'm so sorry for your loss. Hugs!
I got pregnant 3 months after my m/c. I skipped one cycle (per my midwife's instructions), so it was the 2nd cycle that we were trying.

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your baby.
It took me 6-7 months to concieve again, but my body had trouble healing (the MC started naturally but then required misoprotol to finish, 3 weeks later) and then later I was diagnosed with PCOS. I think if I had had a D&C, my body would have reset faster and maybe my PCOS wouldn't have been as "aggravated" per se.
It's normal for your body to take a cycle or two to re-establish a healthy rhythm, but definitely be proactive with your doctor afterwards if you think it's taking longer. I shouldn't have waited as long as I did, I knew there was something wrong.
Best wishes for peace, closure, and healing.... emotionally and physically.

So very sorry for your loss
Our ob was okay with us trying right away without waiting. I had my d&C in mid-January and was pregnant at the end of March, before my period even came back. We were shocked (I didn't even find out I was pregnant until I was 7 weeks along), but for us, I felt physically fine and we both were emotionally ready. Currently 21 weeks and so far healthy, thankfully. Hoping your rainbow baby comes soon

I'm so sorry I had a similar experience almost exactly 3 years ago. Measured right where I thought (9 weeks) but no heartbeat. It took us longer than I had hoped to get pregnant, but it did eventually happen. I ended up conceiving again a few days before my original due date. I have long cycles, so I think it was 7 months, but 5 cycles and one of those was the cycle when we were waiting for my period to return after the D&C, so we didn't try.
Hugs!!

I'm so sorry to hear this. On the positive side, I got pregnant the next cycle where I confirmed ovulation, which was only a few months later.

Thank you all.
I found out 3 hours ago and I SWEAR TO GOD if one more person tells me 'this happened for a reason' i'm going to fucking punch a wall.
Reason #46346 to not tell anyone before the first scan.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My first miscarriage happened naturally on 6/5/12. I conceived again prior to having another cycle. Unfortunately, that pregnancy also ended in a natural miscarriage on 7/21/12. We took one cycle off to heal from the heartbreak. We got pregnant again the next cycle we tried (we must have gotten a BFP late August or early September- I don't remember right now). That little guy is 2 years old now!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I too was able to go on to have a healthy pregnancy soon after my loss. I hope you will be able to conceive again quickly, and there's a good chance you will. And no it didn't happen for a reason, it just happened. and it sucks. i remember the phlebotomist telling me it wasn't meant to be and that really pissed me off. Hugs I hope your D&C goes smoothly on wednesday.

@JoJoGirl: I am so so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately there are a lot of us in this club--sending prayers your way and good luck with the d&c.
It took me a year after my miscarriage to conceive again but I know that is longer than the norm.

So sorry for your loss. I had a loss in May but we haven't started ttc again yet. Even if there was a reason, it doesn't change the hurt and devastation. Take care of yourself
