@ksnow: ugh, I hate the TWW! How have you been doing!? I think I ended up O'ing last Sunday 6/28 so I'm 6 DPO today. I got a positive OPK Saturday through Sunday morning so a little earlier than FF thought!

@TrailRunner: My LP is short too - usually 9 days. It's pretty frustrating! I think I'll try taking the b complex and see if that helps.

@TrailRunner: There was a little bit of blood about an hour ago, I think AF is finally here... a week late! How disappointing, I was thinking maybe baby.
I'll see how things go today and probably join the thread tomorrow providing it actually is AF.
    Thanks for asking.

I'm still bf-ing my 2 yr old & It has been so so painful the last two days!!! But I'm certain I'm ovulating today because of my calculations and CM. I just hope I'm not gonna have some wacky cycle again! My nips have never hurt like this while nursing. What the heck!!???

I just tested at 9dpo and saw nothing. I am so bad at waiting! I should probably hold off until my period is due... if we're unsuccessful this month August is going to be nearly impossible thanks to my husbands work schedule!

Well, still no AF. Tested yesterday with FMU, which would truly have been the day of my missed period, and BFN. Had some brown spotting last night so assumed AF was starting. But still nothing this morning. I feel pretty sure it's coming. I should've ovulated by day 19. That would put me at 12 dpo today. Who knows, I haven't had a cycle this long since my chemical pregnancy in December. Trying not to be hopeful since it's pretty clear to me I'm just having a weird cycle. Best of luck to everyone else.

Had ewcm on cd9 and 10 and on day 10 it was pink tinged so maybe I'll o early? Is the last day of ewcm typically when ovulation occurs?

Ok. I think I finally believe it now. Bottom test from 2 days ago. Top two are from this morning.

@Dr. Pepper: those looks amazing! Congrats

@gotkimchi: what does ewcm mean? Lol is it normal for ovulation to be early or late here and there?

@mrsjd: hope you get some answers soon! I know how it feels. I had the weirdest cycle last month that made me crazy. Maybe a chemical but who knows!! I'm just hoping for the best and trying to chill.

@MrsDragon: that's pretty early but I'm guilty of testing way too early so no worries. Hope for a soon!!!

Hello ladies! Thought I'd jump in here!

    Cycle Day: 24
    TTC Cycle #: 1
Ovulation and POAS dates: ovulated on July 2, planning to POAS on July 12
    Baby #: 2
Your plan this month: chill out as much as possible!
For Fun: Does anyone have any special vacations or events going on in July? We actually traveled 1500 miles for my sister's wedding, and had to BD discretely while hoping travel didn't screw up my cycle!

  13. mrsmacandcheese

    blogger / clementine / 985 posts

    @Dr. Pepper Yay, congrats!
@JH524 I had a positive with my daughter at 9dpo so now I can't help but test then! But looking back on my chart from then, it may have actually been closer to 11dpo. I'm going to try to wait a few more days now, so I don't go crazy... my period is due Thursday so I'm aiming to hold out till Wednesday. If I manage to go pee in the morning without testing it makes me not want to bother.

    @mrsrain: welcome and good luck!!

How does everyone know when they ovulate? Are opk's really worth it in accuracy? I feel like cm is the only thing I notice and it's not a lot but somewhat of a sign I guess. I had no cramping near ovulation this month yet Alot of cramps last month. So the truth is, I have no idea when I ovulate!!!

@MrsDragon: it's so tempting isn't it!! Well good luck trying NOT to test. Lol. Hope you get your

@jh524: opks were never great for me—I rarely got true positives. I watched my CM, checked cervix position, and temped. Temping is the only way to tell if you did ovulate. OPKs let you know when it might happen, but you have have an LH surge and no O.

Thanks everyone! We are super excited (and freaked out)! I have a call in to my Dr. (who is actually on medical leave right now because he just had open heart surgery!) to find out if they are going to do any monitoring (hCGs and progesterone) like they did last time or not. But since my Dr. is out, they have to aske the "on call" doctor who doesn't know my story. Oh well, we'll see.

@jh524: I monitor for ovulation by checking CM and I use OPKs. For my first baby I only did once in the AM, but this time I did AM and early afternoon. I never get true positives either but I can follow the darkness up and down and know when it peaked. I wake up too many times at night to temp.

@TrailRunner: @csross217: Thank you for thinking about me.
It was definitely AF, I'm a little disappointed but not too upset. DH and I are trying to take a 'relax and see what happens' approach to TTC.

Now for this month I have no idea what's going on. This cycle was 37 days long, so I'm not sure if it will go back to my regular 31 days or average it to 35 days which my period app did.

Either way, I'm not even on the board to POAS this month! Damn you long cycle. O date should be mid-end of July.

Right now I'm CD:2 and POAS isn't until Aug. 4.
We have a ton of camping trips, BBQs, my birthday is at the end of July, and I'm going to Calgary to visit my brother and DH and I are driving (and camping) out east to Halifax. We have lots to keep us busy this summer!

@winterbee. I feel your pain with the weird long cycle. I feel like there is NO WAY I'm pregnant but here I am, with the longest cycle I've had since my HSG and chemical pregnancy in December. My cycles since have been between 28-30 days. And I'm on day 32. I tested on Sat. FMU with a cheap grocery story (similar to ept) and negative.

I'm trying to decide when or if to test again or just to hang in for a long wait.

@WinterBee: @mrsjd: ugh, right there with you guys on the wonky cycles!! cycle before last was only 17 days?? then this past one was 31 days.. wth... of course before TTC they were normal 28-30 days.... smh

@mrsjd: I would test once you hit 7 days past your due date. Good luck!!

@Ajsmommy: Lol, It's like our bodies know! I have a pretty regular 31 day cycle, which was great when not TTC, but now that I am it feels sooooooooo long! So switching that to 35 days is going to suck! Hoping we both regulate soon!

  25. JennyLayneAZ

OK so I tested on Friday. Accidently bought a cheapie blue dye test (the box was pink, didn't realize it was blue dye!) that was inconclusive (smear in the positive side...) so I bought a FRER and that was negative. AF hasn't shown. I'll test again on the 17th or 18th if she doesn't show up by then (last cycle was 6 weeks long).

Feeling pretty confident that I will get my period in the next few days. I'm okay with it, our chances this month were extremely low because of timing. This coming cycle should be easier to time with my husband's work schedule (although if things go too far toward the end of the month, I will be out of town for the first weekend in August, so we will be SOL).

  27. mrsmacandcheese

    blogger / clementine / 985 posts

Another stark white BFN at 11dpo this time (two days from my period's expected arrival date). I finished my round of antibiotics yesterday and most of the nausea I had is gone, so I'm guessing it was from the meds! I know it's early, and am trying not to torture myself (she says as she can't stop peeing on sticks, haha) but I suspect this is not our month.

If it isn't, so be it -- more time to save money, more time to do home renos, etc. Relaxing and taking things as they come is obviously not my strong point, but I'm trying!

@MrsDragon: With both pregnancies (1 my daughter, 1 CP) I got a BFN at 11DPO and real squinter at 12DPO - maybe tomorrow!

The 2WW has been easier this time since we're on vacation. But I'm also avoiding non-safe pregnancy things so that's a little odd to manage. Ready for the 12th to get here!

  30. mrsjd

    clementine / 777 posts

Still no period and took another test with FMU this morning and it was negative. Called my doctor and I'm going on Provera to regulate my cycle. I can't live with irregular periods and thinking I'm pregnant. It's making me crazy. I'm also going to talk with a psychiatrist about my fixation about TTC and how it's negatively impacting my life.

  31. jh524

    pear / 1632 posts

@MrsDragon: peeing on those expensive lil Sticks is addictive! I'm guilty for being a early tester even though with my last pregnancy, I got negatives all the way up until the day of my missed period at 14dpo and it was light enough that my husband didn't believe it.

Good luck and give it another day or more! Go get some more Sticks lol

@ksnow: 2ww is much easier when your busy and having fun

  33. mrsmacandcheese

    blogger / clementine / 985 posts

@ksnow I'm totally testing tomorrow... I'm committed at this point, hah. That early positive with my daughter is making it so hard for me to deal with negatives! My LP is 12 days so I feel like it's not THAT early and I should know by now, but oh well.

I wanted to temp this morning to see if things were dropping so I could kind of prepare myself... wasn't able to do it yesterday because I didn't get a solid window of sleep, and then this morning my husband managed to misplace my thermometer. Tomorrow I'll hopefully be able to temp, too.

@MrsJD I'm sorry, that sounds rough. Hugs to you!

  34. mrsmacandcheese

    blogger / clementine / 985 posts

@jh524 I bought a pack of 25 Wondfos before we started! I've been through two cycles with them now... at this rate I may need to order another set next month.

  35. jh524

    pear / 1632 posts

@MrsDragon: Too funny!!! So are wondfos pregnancy tests and ovulation predictors ?
I see a lot of gals on here talking about them.

  36. mrsmacandcheese

    blogger / clementine / 985 posts

@jh524 They make both! I haven't used OPKs though -- just the cheapy tests. If I'm going to pee on a million tests they may as well be cheap.

  37. mrsrain

    nectarine / 2115 posts

@jh524: Thanks for the welcome! I use OPKs to know when ovulation is approaching, but I also chart my cycle (temps) and that is how I verify that ovulation has successfully taken place.

@WinterBee: Sorry about AF, and your long cycle! Do you normally have long cycles? Mine average 32-33 days, and I always feel like I get cheated out of attempts to conceive!

@MrsDragon: I LOVE wondfos. I just got my amazon order of 20 wondrous and a 3-pack of expensive FRERs... I can't wait until I can start peeing on some sticks!

Has anybody experienced loss of appetite during the tww? I am only 5dpo today, so it's way too early to be a pregnancy symptom (although that was one of my symptoms last time around). Normally I wake up starving, but today I couldn't eat anything until lunch time.

  38. JennyLayneAZ

    nectarine / 2690 posts

@mrsrain: Loss of appetite is a pms symptom for me! although, its usually during AF and not during the TWW.

    AFM:
I'm out this month. AF arrived yesterday, so CD2 for me. Onto cycle #3! They really start to add up quickly, don't they!
