I'm sure you guys are sick of looking at my chart and OPK. But here is today's. I'm convinced the ONE day I forgot to do it is when I peaked and the other pics I put up were fading out. Mainly because my temp is going back up again. I hope it keeps going up and not be so erratic like previous.

Cycle Day: about 8 weeks post miscarriage, no post miscarriage period yet
TTC Cycle: 3rd cycle, 6th month. Have lost a little over 3 months (and counting...) on a dud pregnancy.
    Ovulation Date: ???
    POAS Date: ???
    Baby #: 2

What's up this month: I'm still getting really strong positives on pee sticks at 2 months post miscarriage. I'm getting beta quants done this week to see if my hCG is just trending down really slowly, if I could actually already be pregnant with a new pregnancy, or if something weirder and more problematic might be happening.

If I'm just trending down super slow, I'll probably induce a period to try to get this show on the road. I had anticipated that it might take several cycles to get pregnant (it took 8 cycles to get pregnant with my 1st), but I hadn't counted on losing 3 months on just...nothing.

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@lilyofthewest: Do you know what your HCG level topped out at? That seems like a really long time to still be getting strong positives.

Sorry you're still dealing with this

@lilyofthewest: I'm sorry that wait is awful. Hope your betas give you some answers!

@lilyofthewest: I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this kind of uncertainty. Hoping for answers from your betas - please keep us posted!

@mrskansas: Highest beta was above 12,000, and that was well after I'd started bleeding. I should be down to single digits by now on a normal trend, but, clearly, I'm not.

It is unlikely, but, I'm hoping it's due to a new, normal, ongoing pregnancy. I am concerned it could be because I've already had a second loss. Ugh.

AFM, 3 BD sessions down and 3 more to go to do CD 10- CD 20. I thought I felt o pains today but that might just be because I am CD 15 and typically get a positive from cd 13-15. Even though "fertile week" is really long with this plan, at least the two week wait is more like the 9 day wait. 🤔

Question for all of you... when does your CM usually change after ovulation?

  14. Raspberry

    kiwi / 598 posts

@mrskansas: Immediately. I don't get ovulation pains so I couldn't pin it to the exact hour, but the morning my BBT goes up CM is already different.

  15. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@Raspberry: what does it change to?

  16. Raspberry

    kiwi / 598 posts

@mrskansas: Back to creamy and gets progressively more opaque ("school glue" consistency) in the next few days.

  17. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@Raspberry: Thanks, that is helpful! I'm 2 or 3 DPO and mine is slowly changing but it is still more watery than I would expect.

@HeartAbandoned: I used Ovia as well! I like it so far! It seems pretty accurate but I haven't been tracking intensively with my BT or anything. It seems to be accurate with my ovulating window but we'll see!

Also while you are TTC, are you doing anything special like cutting out or down caffeine or drinking? I have so many get together coming up and I'm unsure if I should be drinking or not. This week would be my fertile window. I hear so many different things. What else have you changed from your routine?

  20. knittylady

@lilyofthewest: I'm sorry for the long drop/whatever else could be going on. I'll be hoping for the best outcome.

@Coral: you're a rockstar. We just managed to BD and I'm only CD9. Nice not to have baby making pressure, but I worry about keeping up the stamina for when it "counts"!

@patientlywaiting19: I am trying to go for 2-3 cups of coffee instead of my non TTC 5-6. Shame shame shame. I don't drink often, but am in the drink till it's pink camp.

Question! Do any of you have O like pains for up to a week before O? I've been having some pain that feels like O but am not scheduled to O until next Tuesday... maybe just my body gearing up??

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@knittylady: I had O-like pains for a few days leading up to when I think I ovulated. First month (non-medicated) that it has ever happened!

@mrskansas: I thought it might be smart to BD in case I O abnormally early!

    @knittylady: May as well!

  25. nanilani

    apricot / 374 posts

@patientlywaiting19: I actually eat sushi, lunch meat, hot dogs, etc. more often than usual and don't turn down drinks while TTC! I'm all about enjoying such things while I can and don't cut myself off until I get a positive test. It would be different if I had say a strong caffeine dependency to wean off, but I only drink one cup of coffee most days.

You know your own comfort level and everyone's is different, but I don't think the occasional drink during the TWW is harmful personally. I know my mom drank quite a bit before she found out she was pregnant with me, and I turned out just fine

I've only used FF. It's what I used last time so I'm familiar with it. I did like Ovia for pregnancy (and met the creators so I'm just a big fan overall) but haven't tried it for TTC?

I feel so dumb... I had lunch with my coworkers today, some of which are new and I hadn't had a chance to meet. I asked one if she and her husband were planning on having kids and she replied that they were working on it and had been for three years. Ugh I feel so bad! I should know better.
We ended up talking about infertility and treatments and how much it sucks but I still feel really bad about bringing it up.

  28. Coral

    clementine / 874 posts

@mrskansas: Don't feel bad! It's not like you were grilling her about having babies! You simply asked. I'm sure she was happy to have someone IRL to talk to.

  29. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@Coral: Do you think it would be appropriate to send her an email and tell her that I'm here if she ever needs someone to talk to that understands?
I know how hard it is to find someone in real life that gets this stuff and how lonely the journey can be, but I don't want to make her uncomfortable.

Cycle Day: no clue....i'm 4 weeks post miscarriage waiting on AF to have date to guide me
    TTC Cycle: 1 since miscarriage
    Ovulation Date: still waiting...
    POAS Date: still waiting
    Baby #:1
What's up this month: trying to enjoy the warm summer (finally) but my thoughts are currently occupied on AF, my hcg levels was at 6 on 6/16 so i know i'm close.... Once i get AF i'll be in a better place, hopefully towards a sticky baby
For Fun: Favorite hot weather recipe? not really a recipe but i'm loving my mint chocolate chip ice cream right now

For the last week or so, I've been getting this really weird fluttery feeling in my lower abdomen, but more on the pelvis area. Sometimes it's on the left, other times it's the right. As I'm typing this, I can feel it in the middle.

It's like a hyperactive fluttery feeling (not GI or gas related either). It's so weird. It even kind of tickles. LOL. I dunno what it is, but has anyone ever felt that?!

  35. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@Mrs. Oreo: I sometimes get that but I'm pretty sure it's from my c-section incision where the nerves are messed up... so obviously not the same thing you are experiencing!

    How was your OPK/temp today?

  36. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

I am so tired this week and I'm not even on progesterone supplements. I nodded off while I was sitting at my desk typing an email. I must need more sleep!

  37. Mrs. Oreo

    pear / 1677 posts

@mrskansas: My temp went up again. I think if it goes up again tomorrow and the next day, FF might consider 6/19 as my O date -- which wouldn't surprise me. I haven't done an OPK today and I might not do it when I get home. Yesterday's OPK was light, so I'm not expecting it to change.

If I did ovulate, I don't know if it's the Femara or just me. It seems too far out for Femara to be doing its thing...

@mrskansas: my last post ovulation week was brutal for fatigue. The bad news is I also then had the af from hell. So I guess all those hormones were doing something ... just not what I wanted them to.

    Hope it lets up soon!!

I've been waiting to join a POAS thread for almost a year. FINALLY my transfer is happening next week so I can join.

Cycle Day: N/A - Im on IVF transfer meds so it's just not a basic cycle. I haven't been keeping track but I guess if I had to guess I'd say I'm CD 15 or so?
TTC Cycle: well not sure how to answer this since we got the IVF process started July last year...but in that time I was only able to do 3 IVF cycles. Hmmmm let's average it between 12 months and 3 IVF cycles and call it 7.5 cycles. Haha.
Ovulation Date: my transfer is 6/28 with a 5 day blast so that means equivalent of roughly 6/22 O date.
POAS Date: I'm an early tester so I'll prob start 4dp5dt which will be 7/3! But my beta is scheduled for 7/7 (I'll be away so I'll go to a random Quest diagnostics or something).
    Baby #: 2
What's up this month: Well as I mentioned I'm finally set up for an embryo transfer 6/28. I've been taking estrogen supplements for about 2 weeks now and on Friday I'll also start progesterone suppositories plus oral progesterone. Just so excited to be PUPO in one week! I have plenty to keep me busy as we are going away for a whole month so I basically have to pack our whole apartment.
For Fun: I don't like cooking but I LOVE grilling. I'm a city girl so I don't usually have the chance (condo with no outdoor space). But next Thursday, day after transfer, we are leaving for the shore for a whole month! And we have a grill. So I absolutely love marinating skirt steak in Soy Vay marinade. Serve it with corn on the cob and a baked potato and it's seriously the best meal. But I also just love grilling burgers (mix Soy sauce and garlic into the meat first - you'll die) and hotdogs!
