Yep, I had my bikini line done and I am so happy with the results!

I had my bikini area, underarms, and lower legs done. I stil have to occasionally shave or wax, but it's a lot less than I did before, maybe 1-3 weeks in between. I also should have gotten a few more sessions, but I had to move, and wasn't able to finish. I had 6-7 sessions on each area, but the results depend on the individual. Light skin with dark hair is the best combination. All in all, I'm happy with the results, and would do it again.

I had four sessions done on my underarms before getting pregnant. I had read that if you get pregnant the hormones can cause the hair to grow back again, which did end up happening to me. I feel like I wasted money and time doing the sessions before getting pregnant. If I choose to do it again I will wait until we are totally done having kids.

I would really like to do this after I have this baby! Legs would be insanely expensive right? Bikini line would be nice!

I did and just to set your expectations, it's not 100% hair free though it's close enough that I'm still happy and think it was worth it.

Yup I did my upper lip, two different rounds. Over time the hair grows back and now I still have to wax once a month. It works best for people with light skin and dark hair. And it hurts!

@HelloBeeBoston: the place where I went to distinguishes areas by size. So lower legs and Brazilian were both considered large, while underarm, upper lips, sideburns, etc. would be small. It's a lot cheaper if you buy packages. My spa often had Groupon or Living Social deals, and I'd buy a few packages at a time. I didn't bother with my upper legs since the hair there is thinner and lighter.

@Lady Grey: Two sessions wouldn't have been enough to eradicate all of your hair follicles, since hair goes into dormant stages; the reason your hair falls out seemingly in clumps PP and your hair is so thick during pregnancy is that those dormant signals turn off temporarily. This is why they always recommend a minimum of 6, but often more, sessions.

@Boopers: did your hair grow back as thick as it was before? I've had some hair regrowth, but for the most part it took very well. I plan to restart my sessions later this year.

@Astro Bee: yes you're right. By two rounds I meant I did a full amount of sessions- 6 I think and did that twice, a few years apart. After a while I eventually had to start waxing again.

@Lady Grey: oh no, that's disappointing! I was hoping that going another full round would be sufficient to get rid of my remaining stray hairs for good. It's been a year and a half since I stopped, and I just assumed some of the regrowth I've seen is due to pregnancy.

Yes - love it! Did my underarms which took about 6 sessions. I now have about five hairs I shave each week. I also did my bikini line. But only 3 or so sessions so there is still hair there. But significantly less! I have dark coarse hair with light olive skin. And my hair did not grow back after two pregnancies. But I do know someone that laser hair removal did not work for. I will say that it hurt - similar to a bikini wax. But the pain was worth the results.

Yes, i had a whole Brazilian done, but was only able to get 3 sessions done before I lost my job and stopped going. 70% of my hair was gone, but since I didn't finish the sessions it has slowly come back over the years. I cant wait to get started again after I give birth. It was worth every penny and with I would have gotten it done a long time ago.

@Astro Bee: well I do have really intense Italian/Portuguese hair so maybe I just need more sessions then the average person! Also my second round was just before I got pregnant- maybe I should have waited until after.
