DS is 7 1/2 months with no teeth in sight. Even though I swear he's been teething since he was 4 months old. So what is the latest anyone's LO got their first tooth?

My first got his first tooth at 11 months, one on the bottom.
My second is just 10 months and still nothing!

Mine had no teeth at 11 months and I thought she'd make it to her first birthday without teeth. She got her first one at 11.5 months and ended up getting 6 at once!

Sounds like DS may be late, but all at once!@runnerd: @hellobeeboston: @catlady: I'm sorta wondering how solids worked without teeth? I'm still feeding DS purees and rice cereal. I wondering how things like puffs and stuff work without him having teeth?

My DD got her 1st tooth at 10 months on the dot. She is now 14 months and still only has 3 teeth

@Jackiedavis87: well LO has never been a great eater, but he didn't have a problem gnawing at most things, we didn't do many meats or super textured foods at that age though.

My DS didn't get his first tooth until two weeks after his first birthday.

@Jackiedavis87: right now with no teeth LO is having puffs, pancakes, eggs, toast with cream cheese, bread, fruits and veggies (he just gnaws on some), ground meat etc! Their gums can get through a lot.

@hellobeeboston: that makes me feel better! I really thought he needed teeth to eat most of that.

DD has 4 teeth at 14 months, and she eats the exact same meals as the rest of us now, except salad. So. Their gums are tough!

11.5 months for the first. Then they came in slowly after so she was pretty toothless.

11 months for LO2! He will very likely only have the 1 when he turns 1 next week.

About 4 years ago today- he was about 8 months old. I remember because he was laying on the floor in front of the Olympics on TV when I noticed the beginnings of a tooth poking out He had been teething since 4-5 months- when they finally decide to come in, they go fast!

@Jackiedavis87: puffs dissolve quickly. They definitely don't require teeth.

@lemondrop: that's so funny! I'm watching the olympics with DS right now! Although at 7 months I'm not sure he cares

@Mrs. Pickle: I guess puffs, and other solids just look so intimidating! Now I know! Time to try new foods

No teeth here until 11.5 months. He got his first 4 all in the space of 2 weeks. He's up to 7 teeth at 15 months.

My niece didn't get teeth until almost 15 months. She was a champion eater long before that!

Mine is not the latest in this thread, but first teeth somewhere between 9-10 months. And I've heard the later they get them, the less chance of cavities, so it's all good!
