Okay, Lego fans. I'm looking for a good regular size Lego starter set for my 4 year old. I'd like the set to have the ability to build on a set of wheels, if possible - to make cars and trucks. She seems to enjoy that with her Duplos but I can't find legos with the same type of construction. I don't want a set that builds a car, I want a car as part of a set...if that makes sense?

I would just buy a set of wheels to go with whatever set you are buying. My DS loved having tons of wheels and windows and I just bought it all separately

@mediagirl: Lego.com! Or if you have a local Lego store they have cups you can fill with whatever pieces you want from a huge wall of bricks. You can also check eBay for wheels.

@Boogs: thanks! I think we have a local Lego store and while I am not a fan of the mall this time of year, I may have to pop in there to see what they have.

@mediagirl: The people at our local one are sooooo nice! But wheels are a hot commodity and not always available.

We just got the classic lego bucket and it had a fair amount of wheels that you can snap onto regular shapes.

What @Adira: suggested. We have a couple of the classic sets, then you have a variety of pieces to build what you want.
